Enjoyable trip with knowledgeable guide. It was quite an experience to see and swim so close to so many dolphins.

Last Saturday morning we booked a wild dolphin swim and snorkel trip with Dolphin Discoveries out of Keauhou Bay in Kona! Wow, this was an absolutely magical experience thanks to our outstanding crew Erica, Keith and Bailey. This is the fourth wild dolphins excursion my husband and I have been fortunate enough to attend and this was by far the best ever! My son and his wife were along as well and this was their first wild dolphin encounter which made it even better! We were swimming with a large, serene, yet inquisitive pod within 30 minutes of departing the dock. The crew was very informative and the dolphins were magnificent. We finished the trip snorkeling at Cooks monument in beautiful Kealakekua Bay! Clear water, beautiful tropical fish and and the most incredible dolphins! This Dolphin Discoveries trip is a MUST do and has been the highlight of out trip to the Big Island of Hawaii.
Mahalo to Erica, Keith and Bailey.

Check in was smooth. Alexia was our guide/Captain. She was knowledgable, friendly, put us on dolphins and handled the boat well. The smaller, fast boat was exactly what we wanted. Snorkeling at Kealakekua Bay was great. The included snacks were just right. No complaints, we had a great trip.

Took a group of 18 that included clients and their families on a morning tour. Captain Am"Erika" and First Mate "Bail the Boat" Bailey did a wonderful job getting group set up with gear, going over safety instructions, and engaging the group throughout the tour with humor, historical facts, and stories. For many of my clients that were on the Big Island for a week for our meeting, it was the highlight of their trip.

From a business perspective, it was an incredible value per person: Significantly less expensive than a round of golf, being able to engage with the clients and their familes on a personal level continuously while creating an experience, and taking up about the same amount of time as a round of golf. Further, we were lucky enough to get to see a whale breach and Erika stayed out on the water past our "time" to continue the experience. Many times on similar type excursions, you are constantly feeling rushed through the experience. There was none of that with this crew. They genuinely enjoyed their "work" and providing their passengers a memorable experience.

Only issue we had was it was a little tough to find the muster point on the docks with a larger group/multiple vehicles. If I had time to do so before - I would have scouted it out. However, asking ahead of time for the gathering point and specific dock will help. Google Maps gets you right there to the dock but the business sign is small (probably due to code) and easily missed with the other small business operating around the dock/pier.

So glad we did this. It was great for our 6 year old who preferred to stay in the boat but was still able to see the dolphins from above and us and our teenagers for seeing them in the water. You do have to move quick from in boat to in water in order not to miss an opportunity. Great activity for all. Mike was very informative about the history and obviously very knowledgable. I think what stands out the most is the regard for safety and respect for the dolphins and making sure to ask that you follow a few rules.
