Executive Sous Chef Nick Mastrascusa has created one of the most unique, great culinary experiences "Inside the Kitchen" at the Four Season Resort BeachTree restaurant. Chef has designed a hand crafted wooden counter for guests to sit and enjoy their evening while watching the restaurant in action. Nothing is planned. It's up to the guest. Chef Nick will take you on a culinary tour of whatever destination you decide or just create the meal of your dreams. My husband and I love Italian food, so Chef started with appetizers found in Sicily and took us north to Tuscany, with many stops in between. So many courses that we finally has to say "enough." We couldn't eat another bite, but Chef was prepared to create more than a dozen courses.
We started the evening learning how to "saber" a bottle of champagne and, with champagne in hand, took a tour of the restaurant kitchen and met all the chefs. Then we sat down and enjoyed wine paired countless courses, with Chef sharing not only the cuisine, but the history and culture of our destination. If you are a foodie or just want a unique dining experience, the Chef's Counter is unlike anything you have ever experienced.
