This is really close to town at the end of the road on the north side of Kona. I spent much of the time sitting on the rocks enjoying the surf crashing in. I also sat in a tidal pool and every so often a big wave would bring in refreshing new water. Take a stroll down the beach the length of the old runway. It was not crowded and I was here on a holiday. The park is free, well kept, clean and with basic facilities. Most of all it's not crowded.
My favorite thing to do here is WATCH THE SUNSET, no worries, just hanging loose.
