This was the first place we ate on the island, drawn by the fact that it was packed on a Sunday morning! Coffee was served in giant mugs, and brunch was delicious and made with fresh local foods. In fact, it was so good, we went back the following Sunday for our last meal on the island! Lovely view over the sea, and a relaxed, welcoming place.

We tried Lava Java for brunch on Sunday but they were out of the French toast we came for (we were late) so ended up at dinner instead. Great variety, four of us tried several different entrees, apps and salads. Poki was delicious, Caesar salad was tasty, not too salty. Pizza was big enough for two, fish tacos deliciously fresh. Oh, and you can bring your own wine or beer with no corkage. The guy singing was a nice addition to the experience, in fact people sat on the sea wall across the street just to enjoy the music! Great staff, good food-we'll be back for sure.

We didnt have to wait long for a seat even though the place was buzzing.
The service was good, and the food came out fast, which impressed me as it was jammed packed.
A nice spot to sit for breakfast looking at the ocean and watching the world go by.
juices pretty $$$ i thought.
All in all an good breakfast. We had popped in for dinner a few nights before but left and you couldnt get a beer.

My mother visited their other location and had great fish. We went with her on a Sunday for lunch at Noon. They were already sold out of their fish. We were shocked.

We ended up with the burger (very disappointing), waffle (good), and the omelette and Kalua pig (so so). We really wanted fish.

Service - they had lots of staff walking in circles, who could have sat us...but didn't. We had to wait a while before we were finally seated (note that more than half the tables were empty). Once we were sat, service was fine.

I won't sit down here again unless I know they have fish available. I know it's as fresh as you can get it...when they have it... keeping my fingers crossed for the next visit.

This is by far one of the best places I have ever eaten breakfast! It just feels good to be there. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. The views of the ocean and sailboats are glorious. You can't help but sit in the sunshine on the outdoor patio and soak it all in. The breakfast menu is fantastic. I watched some delicious food being delivered to tables nearby. I opted for the simple but amazing local papaya , vanilla yogurt and granola and was surprised at how filling it was.
To top it all off, there is live relaxing acoustic guitar music with breakfast!! Wow, where else can you find that?!? This place is doing everything right. Kudos to the owners, management and wait staff!
Mahalo!
