The Hawaiian Scube Shack in Kona is not the biggest operator in Kona. But when you're doing the Manta Ray Night Dive he's the guy with the biggest lights. He plants his lights down there already before the dive, to start attracting the Manta's. And once you're down there you'll recognize him by the big lights on his camera. And big lights equals big manta's.
We did the two tank dive: one dive at Garden Eel Cove in the afternoon. We liked this one better than the Molokini crater dive on Maui. And after watching the sunset we did the Manta night dive at the same location. If you're looking for a great afternoon diving trip, this is the one to do. I just put my 14 year old daughter - and newly minted diving buddy - to bed, and she couldn't stop talking about it. Highly recommended!
