Just got back from our stay at Unit 7106 at Kona Coast Resort. We were a family of 6 and stayed a week - booking through alohacondos.com.

We have stayed at KCR before through our timeshare exchange - all units at KCR are not created equal! Fred and Bonnie Nuttall's place is top of the heap... it is very nicely maintained with upgraded materials throughout. This is not a condo designed for rental, but for living - lots of extra touches like tasteful artwork, nice linens, and a master bath (just remodeled) that is quite luxurious. They have stocked their condo with all sorts of amenities, like masks and goggles, games, books, tennis racquets and plenty of dishes (not just 8!) and cooking utensils - you will want for nothing. The floorplan is great for giving lots of space for a large family and the lanais are a wonderful place to stretch out with a good book or have a nice meal. The location is quiet, although you can hear the tennis court with the doors open, but it was never before we were awake. Also, it is walking distance to some nice restaurants, shopping and 1/2 mile to a great snorkle beach. You will not be sorry you stayed here...

We recently stayed at the Kona Coast Resort for our honeymoon in one of the privately owned condos-- #2-204. Jerry and Mary (the owners) were wonderful in making sure that we had everything we needed. Several times on our trip, we remarked how wonderful it was to feel as though we were returning to someone's beautiful home at the end of the day instead of a small, cramped hotel room. Can't think of anything that we would have changed-- the view was spectacular although it is a walk to the beach, so if you are looking for something right on the water, this won't meet your expectations. We were more than fine admiring it from afar as we enjoyed our nightly walks to the coastline to watch the sunset. The location with relavance to town was extremely convenient-- just close enough to Kona to be handy to restaurants and shopping, but far enough out of the city to feel as though you are not on top of all of the hustle and bustle.
Highly recommended!

What a pleasure to stay in unit 7106. This was our first experience with renting a condo vs a luxury hotel and were we impressed. Bonnie and Fred have gone to great lengths to make sure their guests are just that, guests not renters. I was amazed at their attention to details. If you stay here you will want for nothing. The unit is spacious, comfortable and caters to your every vacation need. I was extremely impressed and will recommend this unit to any of my friends that may be visiting the Island. I will certainly use this condo on my next visit, no more $400 a night hotels for us! Thank you Bonnie and Fred for making our vacation so special and so enjoyable.

We stayed at unit 7106 for 10days and had a wonderful time - the condo was roomy, clean, and well stocked. It did not feel like a rental but felt like home. Liked that Bonnie & Fred went to the trouble of leaving books, board games, cd's, snorkel gear, etc. you can borrow while you stay, especially like the reference tools for the island activities and restaurants. Condo has a great location in Kona and the pool is located in front of condo with tennis courts behind condo. Cannot say enough good things about this unit you must experience for yourself if you go to the Big Island this is the perfect spot to stay. Contact Aloha Condos for rental information.

We are owners in Phase 2. It is huge, comfortable and convenient. We love it there - it's like our home away from home! It's not fancy like the big resorts, but they are also not trying to sell you stuff every time you walk through the resort! If you want a place to get comfortable, be able to prepare your own meals - barbecue grills conveniently located - then this is the place for you!

Unit 7106 is a great place to stay for family vacation! It's beautiful, clean, and very convenient. From the Lanai on the second floor, you can see gorgeous sunset every evening. There is a nice swimming pool and spa next door, and a big swimming pool not too far away either. The snorkeling and floating stuff provided by the house made it so convenient for us. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the only thing missing is chop sticks. Of course the owners are not asians. :) There is a nice snorkeling beach within about 2-3 minutes driving, and a shopping center just across the street of the resort. By the way, the own is very friendly and reasonable. Everybody in my family enjoyed the one-week stay in this condo!

We stayed in the Kona Coast II. It was very clean and roomy. Nice pools and great location. Only draw back was the stairs up to our third floor unit. It made it pretty difficult for mom to get up and down.
