“Great for lunch!”
Reviewed May 24, 2013 via mobile

Went there for lunch and had the Island fish sandwich. It was excellent! The guy that helped us was super friendly. There was no line so we were in and out . The banana bread was good too.

“Seriously Great Sandwiches!”
Reviewed May 15, 2013

The Funky Chicken and the Ono sandwich are the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. It was actually a pregnancy craving for me and I was eating there 3-4 times a week! They bake their own bread, good prices, friendly and yummy!

“The aloha way to start your day”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Okay, I'm not one who eats pork, but when you are on the Big Island of Hawaii and you see locals flocking to a place for breakfast, you have to try it. OMG and I glad I did. Breakfast included portuguese sausage, sticky rice and fresh eggs. Now that is the breakfast of this wahine.

“Friendly, Easy, Delicious, and Quick”
Reviewed May 4, 2013

This is a great place to pick up snacks, sandwiches and sweets, especially if you're heading out to explore the island with a cooler in your car. We grabbed sandwiches here twice along with some specialty sweet breaks, muffins and Danish and everything was delicious and not expensive. Nice big fat sandwiches on buttery, flaky croissants or hoagie rolls or bagels or whatever you want. The chicken salad was very tasty and they don't put a bunch of weird stuff in it like grapes and nuts. Staff friendly and efficient. In fact, when we go back to Kona next year, we've decided we'll pick up sandwiches here a few times for dinner during our two weeks, on those nights that we don't feel like cooking and/or want a break from the costly sit-down dinners at the restaurants. (Sometimes it's nice to just have a sandwich and salad on your lanai in the evening instead of going out). I think they close around 6:00 though, so if you want to do this, plan ahead and don't wait for dinner time.
