We went to this place for poke and Korean food, based on the very good reviews on Yelp. We were forewarned that the setting is not at all scenic - an industrial area next to a cold storage place where the fridge exhaust and industrial ice machines can make quite a bit of noise. Had the noise not died down by the time we got our food, we probably would have taken it to-go (there's a beach nearby), but suddenly right at noon there was total silence from the refrigeration equipment, and we had a nice, quiet lunch.
The good reviews for this place are well-founded. The poke was great (we had kim chee poke), and the Lomi salmon was good too (lots of veggies, the salmon was nice and fresh). The combo plate that we got was really good - generous portions of bulgogi, teriyaki chicken and ribs (the bulgogi and teri chicken were particularly tasty). There was also plenty of rice, a big fried shrimp, small side salad with delicious dressing, some daikon and a side of kim chee. The combo plate was $12 (reasonable for the generous amount of food, especially considering that food in Hawaii is expensive). I don't recall the price on the poke, but it was also reasonable and sold by weight, so our quarter pound was quite cheap. Our family of four (2 young kids) ate for $19. I should also mention that the proprietor is also very nice. This place is a low-key winner! We'll be back!
