“Surf's Definately up”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2013

When we were there the breakers took the Sands away from Magic Sands Beach but it didn't stop the surfers and boogie boarders. They had several days of wild rides. Fun to watch.

“Not much sand, good waves”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2013

Not much sand to relax on but good waves for boogie boarding. Small reef nextdoor infront of Magic Sands condo, good for snorkeling, lots of yellow tang other fish & turtles.

“Careful over the rocks”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2013

The waves at this beach are a ton of fun. We were at the beach twice in March and the entrance to the water is over a ledge of lava rock, which is green and looks treacherous. It isn't too bad if you walk slowly. The lifeguards pointed out the best way to enter and exit. Ask them, if you aren't sure, they know the waters and the rocky areas best. Even when the sand is gone from the water's edge there are plenty of sandy pockets on shore to relax and enjoy the afternoon, the volleyball is fun too.

“Good for body board surfing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2013

Small beach close to where we stayed. Nice that it had a lifeguard and there is enough beach to catch rays. As stated the sand had mostly disappeared and had yet to reappear. It was better once you were in the water but getting there required a tricky climb over rocks. The surf was fine for the early part of our stay but rough too rough for beginners later in the week. Our sixteen year old son had a great time but it was for the boarders only very difficult to swim there. It does have some facilities but used mostly by locals.

“Waves were pretty rough!!”

If you are into boogie boarding and getting pounded by waves. There is not much of a beach or facilities, we did not stay very long.
