“Private Condo's right on the Ocean!”
Reviewed December 21, 2012

We stayed at a private condo right on the ocean, it was quaint and charming. Just perfect for couples! Great amenities and near many attractions, restaurants and beaches! Awesome sunsets and morning whale and dolphin watching! Only issue is if you leave any food out, very tiny ants will come to clean up for you! It just comes with the Island!

“Awesome tubes”
Reviewed December 20, 2012

Great small beach with realing left hand waves. I know this is supposed to be about the hotel but the Magic Sands surf is SMASHING!!! Literally super shallow super fast, super hollow and fun.

“Great in the morning before 9am”
Reviewed December 19, 2012

This is the only sandy beach in town and the most popular with locals. There is large shore break here and it can be dangerous be sure to pay attention and watch awhile before swimming. It is peaceful and beautiful in the early morning. By 9 people start to show up by mid day the beach is packed. The local skim boarders take over and will run over anyone in their way to show off - it is ridiculous and the life guards do nothing. It is called Magics as the sand is carried out in the winter Dec-May. There is great snorkeling in the small cove to the Left when facing the ocean (off shore of the condos).

“Great beach! But crowded!”
Reviewed December 16, 2012

The water temperature is perfect. The white sand is soft. It's perfect for swimming and boogie boarding. Very cool spot. But it's also really crowded and over-run by punk kids trying to do tricks on boggie boards. If you can avoid them - it's a great spot to spend the day!

“Not So Magical”
Reviewed December 8, 2012

Magic Sands...Far more crowded than we expected. Hard to find a spot. Perfect size waves for a boogie board, though. I have been spoiled by North Shore beaches on Oahu so maybe I am being too picky, but I didn't really see what the fuss is about Magic Sands. Much better beaches up Koahala coast.
