“Breathtaking Estate!”
Reviewed April 12, 2012

I've booked the Hawaiian Oasis for my wedding entourage in October, and on my one trip out to Kona last month I wanted to take a "sneak peek" of the property during my stay.

Needless to say, the estate took our breath away and we think it will be perfect for our family and friends. From the moment we stepped foot onto the property, we knew we made the right choice is booking the estate. Dan (the caretaker) was extremely helpful and a wonderful guide. Everything from the landscaping to the details of the rooms exceeded every expectation we had. Every single room has it's own personality and it shows just how much thought and love went into designing the estate. My fiancee is actually from Big Island, and he does get a little irrate when he feels that a property is overdoing it with the Hawaiiana style of decor - but not with this estate! He loved every part of the estate - from the framed music sheets in the Music Room to the foliage on the property. He was left speechless. The common room is quite large and the kitchen is amazing! There is plenty of parking, and Dan even showed us all of the beach gear that we are allowed to use. The outdoor kitchen (and even an outdoor shower!) is perfect (complete with grill and fridge) for lazy nights by the tiki-lit pool.

I cannot wait for our friends and family to see it - it's going to take a miracle for me to not tell them how much of a treat they are in for.

We look forward to our stay there in October!

Stayed here on our honeymoon and loved every second. The innkeeper, Dan, and his wife Theresa, could not do enough to make our stay better. We had amazing gourmet breakfasts with them every morning and shared stories together. We had a romantic time that was so special and we made new friends in Dan and Theresa. Definitely consider this place for your stay, with a hot tub, tiki bar, pool, and amazing tropical gardens you will be as pleased and overwhelmed as we were with the authentic Hawaiian hospitality. We will be back!

We stayed at the Aloha Suite for a week and it was a perfect vacation. The setting of the B&B is very quiet and peaceful, the only sounds are the birds. It is a short drive to Kailua-Kona and the beach and very close tho many attractions. The room was spacious, very clean and with a nice ocean view. Theresa and Dan were both wonderful hosts, very helpful, accommodating and perfectly organized. We enjoyed the wonderful breakfasts and the long conversations with the Innkeepers or other guests in the morning. We did not want to leave and hope to be back soon. Thanks Theresa and Dan for a wonderful time.

More like a modern country inn than a B&B, we loved our 4 days here. Spacious room plus full use of the big kitchen and living room, and the poolside bar and BBQ. Dano is an energetic but unobtrusive host and an accomplished breakfast chef. We enjoyed exchanging stories over long breakfasts with other guests from around the world. It is a few degrees cooler at 1,500 ft than at sea level, much better for sleeping. The only sounds are birds and jungle foul. Escape the commercial hubbub of the hotel strip and treat yourself to some peaceful elegance!

Room Tip: The Garden Suite is smallest.

I wholeheartedly agree with all the terrific reviews given the Hawaiian Oasis, especially the hosts Dano and Teresa. Wonderful hospitality and great breakfasts in a beautiful and warm setting. My only complaint would be the bed and linens and especially the pillow quality. Crisper sheeting, a nice cotton covering and nice pillows would have made the bed much more inviting. The bed itself (master bedroom in the Ohana suite) could be improved upon. The poor paint job in the bathroom also detracted from the setting. The garish aqua color and bamboo mirror and rather mismatched racks and curtains are in stark contrast to the rest of the house. These are relatively minor complaints but just enough to keep me from declaring our stay there absolutely perfect.

After being on the go on the first three islands, we needed some rest and relaxation. Hawaiian Oasis was the perfect place for it. We stayed in the Garden Suite which was private and comfortable. We enjoyed the Hot Tub and the pool. Dano is an amazing innkeeper. Friendly, helpful and knowledgable about many many things aside from where to go and what to do. Also, breakfast was different and delicious each morning. The Oasis is lovely, but Dano brings it to life!

We loved our 3 nights here. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and as one other customer pointed out, you want to spend every night out by the pool and hot tub, cooking in the great outdoor kitchen (we did this on several nights). Dano is also wonderful, he can answer any/all of your questions, and makes a really awesome breakfast (which is different every morning). On the last morning we had to leave early for our flight, so we were given a really great packed breakfast to take with us. We will definitely stay here again!
