We arrived on a Monday morning, just before noon. We sipped on the free Kona coffee while watching the video portion of the tour (Dirty Jobs, etc) while a couple of friendly felines lounged about. Chickens and geese also strolled around. Apparently the geese are a natural weed control mechanism, especially to some invasive species. Our tour guide was very energetic and informative. I enjoyed seeing the beans being sorted and roasted. No pressure to buy anything, but why wouldn't you? They offer an indepth VIP tour that costs a bit and requires reservations, I would love to go on that too.

Very interesting history of coffee beans and its varied uses to learn here. It was interesting learning how an organic farm works and meeting the roosters, ducks and people who make this business run. Enjoying the coffee back home now and will be sad when we run out as nothing will compare again. Sorry Timmies, starbucks doesn't even come close!!

This is a great organic coffee farm close to Kona. Truly enjoyed seeing the animals from the donkeys under the banana plants to the chicken families and baby chicks et al. Organic is the way to go. The host was so nice. And the coffee is also certified kosher !

We recently visited the coffee plantation and we were impressed by the in depth knowledge and hospitality of the personnel. The attention to detail and the organic farming practices were very informative. After sampling some of their best reserve organic coffee, I can say that it is some of the smoothest and rich bodied coffee I have ever tasted. I will be a regular customer and I deeply applaud their passion and attention to quality!

I had toured other coffee farms in the Kona area but this one really showed me their pursuit of the very finest.

We finally found Mountain Thunder and we were very impressed with the tour. Our tour guide, Judy, was very knowledgeable and very friendly. Judy was informative about how coffee grows, organic coffee and told us about some of the local trees that grow at the farm and around Kona. We felt this was a GREAT coffee tour and would recommend it to all even if you aren't a coffee drinker. We enjoyed the coffee and the teas that we sampled.
