We have now stayed at all three Seaside Hotels: Hilo, Maui and now Kona. This location is just great. Walkable to shops, restaurants, historic places and the beach. The hotel is a bit dated, but immaculately kept. Parking is not free, as advertised, but free parking is available at an adjacent public lot. The staff at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. Our room overlooked the pool are and the street. It was a little noisy, but tolerable. We would stay there again as the room rates are reasonable and the location unbeatable.

We only spend one night in this hotel. It is easy to find and well placed.
Room are quite big for the price and clean. Beds are very good when you come from the volcano. You have everything in the room: fridge, coffee machine with real coffee for free, iron, hair-dryer...
First restaurants are not far (around 5 min by walk) and the bus station is less than 2 min far by walk.

Pros: $109 plus $5 for parking was a good deal compared to the other surrounding area hotels. Centrally located and less than two blocks to the beach. Very clean with balcony and pool.

Cons: The A/C next door to our room made so much noise when it came on that it woke me up almost every time (about 4-5 times). We called and complained and we were offered another room but it was very late and thought how different could it be in another room since each room had an A/C so we declined and just roughed it out.

Other than the A/C it was very nice otherwise and would stay at this place again. Next time we will just ask to stay next door to an unoccupied room.

Room Tip: Ask about the A/C noise and check it before it gets too late for you to fix it.

I booked this hotel due to its close proximity to the airport as we flew in late at night for a conference and didn't have reservations at our resort until the following day. Also I didn't want to pay big bucks for place I wasn't going to be at very long. We checked in around 11pm and the parking lot was full. The desk clerk was very helpful with alternate parking arrangements and the parking she directed us to was a free lot that we ended up using multiple times over the next week during trips to the tourist areas by the sea. The hotel room itself was worn out and the bathroom a bit beat up but everything in the room was clean. We had a partial view of the ocean which was a nice surprise to great us in the morning to start off our first full day in Hawaii. This place isn't fancy, but the service was good and the location and price were great!

This hotel is a good economical choice, it's centralized near the beach, ocean-side restaurants, Kona Brewery, etc. You can easily catch boats from the wharf. Staff was nice and helpful. Free parking and free WiFi. We did the no breakfast option as there are just too many good restaurants nearby and we tried a few, very yummy...

The staff is pleasant and efficient, the rooms are big, and clean, the beds are comfortable, and they have an extra electrical strip to plug in all the chargers! Internet access is free, and easy to use, nice grounds

Room Tip: the rooms on the fourth floor of the main building are the best

Good location, this place is clean, tidy, and is great value.
I would recommend it for anyone looking for a place to stay in downtown Kona if you are on a budget.
Great hospitality, close to the waterfront, shops, cafes, and all amenities!

Room Tip: We stayed here twice in 2 different rooms on the 3rd floor - both were nice!
