During a 3 week holiday to Dubrovnik we stayed for 2 nights at the Apartment Beti on Lupod via Booking.com
Communication with the owners was excellent throughout and we were emailed on our day of arrival to check which ferry we would be on. Sadly our weather wasnt great on that date and we were due to arrive on the island at 11:00am. Beti advised that her brother would meet us at the harbour as her mum wanted to get the apartment cleaned for us so we could get into it immediately out of the rain, which was really kind. On arrival some home made orange juice and arancini were waiting for us.
The apartment has a fairly small kitchen and bathroom but perfectly adequate and well equipped, bright and roomy living area but the bedroom with double french doors leading on to the balcony with stunning views all around the bay and out to the other islands was simply the best. The balcony was large with sun lounger, cushions and a table and chairs, perfect for relaxing; despite the weather we sat on the balcony until late in the evening watching the full moon and the lights of the island spreading out in front of us and occasional lights dotted from boats and other islands. Waking up the following mornings to brilliant blue skies and sea and eating our breakfast out there was wonderful.
Beti kept in touch with us throughout our stay to check everything was OK and she recommended some walks for the first day when the weather wasn't so good. In hindsight the fact that the weather wasnt great made us do a bit more exploring and led to a really pleasant stay.
There is a hot tub in the garden which the family will turn on on request, however we didnt use it.
Beti's mom left us some garden produce which was delicious, managed to find us a UK adaptor plug when I had foolishly grabbed the wrong one when I left in the morning and on our last day allowed us to leave our bags in the apartment until we were ready to take the late afternoon ferry back to Dubrovnik.
She also really kindly showed us around all of the other apartments and the villa that is also on site, which looked great for a larger family holiday. They also have a little family of tortoises which we discovered on the last day (not sure how we had missed them earlier!).
I'd highly recommend the Apartment Beti and hope to return in the future for a slightly longer stay
