If you have an opportunity to go to the Dax mountains outside Vienna then at Kreuzberg follow the signs to LOOS HAUS. Climb 5k out of the town and stay in this wonderful setting. Good food, beautiful unspoilt 1920's building with original fittings. Friendly welcome, stunning views. You need not stay if you do not want to but it is a must to visit and have a meal or coffee. The hotel is not open all the year round so you need to check between November and April.

Looshaus is well known amongst the Art Deco Fans, so while you are enjoying a stay somewhere near Vienna, Graz or even in the Semmering region do not miss the opportunity to have a table reserved. The restaurant and hotel is located outside Payerbach on the northern part of the Kreuzberg mountain. Make sure to have proper winter tyres on your car when visiting between November and April. Parking space might get tight on weekends. The menu is not too crowded but dishes are carefully chosen and very often you can find local specialities and a seasonal taste. The Steiners are a welcoming family and do everything to make their guests happy. Children are always welcome!!
Soups vary between 3,-€ and 6,-€, Main courses from 8,-€ to 20,-€ and desserts from 4,-€ to 7,-€. Good quality wines are offered and homemade juices as well as locally brewn beer. Service staff is very friendly and dishes are served in perfect time. Unfortunately there is not a lot of space in the two dining rooms and if groups are served, space gets tight for all guests.
Please mind: no smoking in the whole building anymore! Summer and winter opening times may vary, check website before visiting or call to make a reservation.
