First of all, there are several rooms here so be sure to book if you want to sit in the no-smoking area!
The menu is classic Austrian with some specials thrown in for good (?) measure!
My husband chose the Tiril liver, which came with bacon, plenty of gravy (he was a happy bunny) and small roast potatoes on the side. Looked and tasted delicious.
I opted for the special - smoked leg of venison with rice/risotto. For some reason, I had expected it to be on the bone (yes, I realise now that it would have been a very big one!) and it was not - it also looked extremely dry. No sauce except for the risotto and so I was disappointed as it tasted almost as dry as it looked. Comments were passed back to the chef as this was a new dish and our waiter had not seen it before. Nothing came back from the kitchen.....
We were here to watch a jazz performance in the cellar - they have regular events. Will not visit again to eat..
