The Post in Westendorf is in a lovely village, with plenty of alternatives if you are not skiing - visiting Salzburg(easy, reasonably priced, great trains), snow shoe walking, good gift shops and a lovely clothes shop, coffee and cakes cafe etc.
The Post was adequate, but basic. Very dull in the way of furnishings (bottle green predominates) but very clean with excellent maid service.
Wonderfully easy access to the ski lifts for here and Brixen. One 'why not' is the quality of food in the standard dining room. Night after night of salty processed soup - well it wasn't night after night because we started eating elsewhere - unimaginative, overcooked main courses and desserts from somewhere in the 70's.(fruit cocktail with value type ice cream,
a single doughnut, srctic roll). No fresh fruit, no fresh veg - I think the mash was reconstitued. Breakfast - orange cordial, not juice and the ubiquitous fruit cocktail in syrup.
If you enjoy camping I think you will probably be fine. The good news is that there are plenty of alternatives - even at the Post a la carte dining room.
Waiting staff were 95% charming. The manager was on the wrong side of rude to our party and we were treated badly over room allocation.
