Having been to Soll for 21 years now, I should know what to expect from certain eateries.
The Postwirt is probably the most well known Hotel in the area due to its prominent location at the heart of Soll.
But having ate there this year I am afraid that I won't be going back.
I was in a party of 8 family members and we had reserved a table for 7pm.
We duly arrived and were shown to our table and asked what we would like to drink.
Grosser (large) Beers anywhere else in Soll would be 0.5L, not the Postwirt, theirs are only 0.4L.
The waiter came back a short while later, once we had disected the menu, to see if we would like any starters. We all decided not to have any starters and his attitude just changed.
As soon as we weren't going to be having a 2 or 3 course meal, he couldn't be bothered with us.
On several occassions he totally blanked any attempt we made to attract his attention.
Eventually it was time to ask for the bill, it took probably 10 minutes to get his attention, the restaurant was that busy, he walked up to our table with the printout from the computerised till and without breaking stride placed on the table with a firm hand and just carried on walking!
When we are in Soll we eat out everynight trying different restaurants and when the bill comes the waiter/waitress always asks if we are paying together or seperatly.
His attitude and attentivness were attrocious. All he had to do was to cast an eye over our table to see if anyone required anything else and that everything was ok.
He couldn't even do that.
