Very nice Hotel, we have been there TWICE now. The first time was good, but the second time was even better. In 2011, they already had a brilliant new spa area. This year, they even build another one including a very nice pool area.

Thanks to brilliant SPA manager Manfred who takes care of the sauna infusion every 45 minutes you will get heated up again after cold of skiing. We liked the fact that he enforced some of the basic sauna rules in a nice manner. One notices quickly when Manfred has his day off. When he is around, he replaces the cups for water and tea regularly, cleans up and looks after the place all the time which benefits the overall experience.

The food in Tyrolerhof also kept improving. Meat is cooked to the point - not too easy with a buffet. The highlight is the way they care for people with food intolerance. I need lactose and GLUTEN FREE food and the kitchen did a brilliant job. They are well informed and willing to find out which type of soup, main dish or dessert suits your diet. Especially nice: Sauce is always made with cornflour instead of wheat. The gluten free dessert was served each night upon request and was very nice (fruit, brilliant cake). Thumps up;-)

Rooms are nice for in a 4-Star class. HD TV is available, Wlan as well. Changing rooms to preferences (balcony, view) is possible. ROOMSERVICE is really good. Clean and when you enter your room after service, you will find your shoes and clothes well sorted.

BEDS were clean but the quality of the mattresses was not top end anymore. Might be a very subjective thing though.

Overall SERVICE is nice and friendly. In the restaurant, front desk and the bar.

GUEST STRUCTURE has even more shifted to East Europe and Russia than last year. Some German, English, French and Dutch guests made the other 40% during our stay (rough estimate).

OVERALL RATING: We would book again, not cheap but worth it if you fancy a place near the Gigijoch, a great spa and food buffet with a good understanding for people with food issues.

this hotel have several different public spaces which is allways a plus. rooms very spacious and with view of the street. but...because it is on the main street- alot of noise coming from it every night at 1:00-3:00 a.m. would be smart to ask for a quite back room. dinner is magnificent- changing the menu every evening and many surprises (kangooroo....). would definetly stay there again if staying in solden

We stayed at the Tyrolerhof over the busy New Year week and the hotel was full. However, there was plenty of space in the public areas and it was never too noisy. We had booked 4 double rooms and 2 singles, one with an extra bed. Only 2 of the 4 double rooms had a bath (18 and 19, not 204 and 205), so if a bath is essential for you on a ski holiday, then you need to specify this. The Spa facilities in this hotel are fantastic - there is a large indoor pool, with plenty of loungers alongside and a sauna that was warm but not hot (58˚C). In a separate area (no swimwear allowed) there is a Finnish Sauna (88˚C) and Bio Sauna, a steam room and an aroma steam room and 2 large relaxation areas with herbal teas and fresh water on tap. The food was generally excellent, 5 courses buffet style with plenty of choice. Staff were friendly and attentive. We watched the most incredible firework displays on New Year's Eve - going off from all over the valley - from the first floor terrace, the best viewpoint in Solden. As well as the hotel bar (under-staffed on New Year's Eve) there is also the Grizzly Bar, an Après-Ski bar with access from the street as well as the hotel. This was a great place to meet for a drink before dinner, but by not being at the bottom of a run it was never very busy compared to the Kuckuck or Marco's. Unfortunately they wouldn't allow you to put drinks on the room as it is run separately from the hotel. The hotel is located very close to the Giggijochbahn lift, a short walk along the main road, and the bus stop for Obergurgl is even closer.

We stayed here for one night at the end of November.
The hotel looks very nice from the outside and there are plenty of parking spaces outside.
We got there a bit early and were informed that our rooms wouldn't be ready until 14:00.
Since we had to be at a event they gave us access to the changing room and stored our luggage behind the reception. This was handled in a very uncomplicated matter which we really appreciated.
The single rooms are spacious but with a tiny bed so beware. If you wanted to watch TV there is also a tiny TV in the room.
Unfortunately my room wasn't that clean, I could find crumbles and M&M's from the guest before me. At least the bathroom and the bed were clean.
I found a SPA set in my room with a bathrobe in case you want to visit the SPA which is open from 15:00.
The hotel seems to be very family friendly, there were a lot of kids playing around in the lobby which might be a nice thing for families but I found it annoying to fight my way to my room. Also it is very loud in the lobby. Fortunately I couldn't hear it in my room.
There is free Internet over Wifi in the hotel but unfortunately the hotel doesn't have enough licenses for it, so be ready to fight for your session in the evenings.
I really enjoyed the food in this hotel, the dinner had three different menus and also lots of additions. The drinks are very pricy though, we paid 4.50 for one Coke.
In the morning there is a breakfast buffet with lots of variety. Everybody should find something he likes. As i mentioned before the quality of food is very good.
All in one I think this hotel is suitable for families, if you want a calm hotel look somewhere else

We enjoyed staying in the Tyrolerhof in two renovated rooms – 570 and 571 which is the slightly larger one with bath and small balcony – and it is an excellent hotel! The only catch is the reservation of rooms. The renovated rooms (270-281 and then same with 3/4/5 instead of the 2; 44 rooms in total) are of good size, very nicely designed and decorated. The other rooms are below standard in their decoration and equipment for the 4 star+ price charged. When you contact Tyrolerhof they will try to sell you their (old) standard rooms and only when you insist they will offer the renovated rooms. Do not give up because apart from that aspect, the hotel is worthwhile if you succeed to get one of those renovated rooms.
The spa and swimming pool are really 5 star and very well equipped and kept; the lobby is pleasant; the service is friendly and professional. The dining room is pleasant and the staff attentive. The issue of self-service has its disadvantages including the fact that the food is precooked and served from a heating plate. Apart from that, however, the variety and quality are above average for a 4 star hotel. With children the self-service is convenient. Our recommendation thus: insist on the renovated rooms and then enjoy!

This is a seriously nice hotel. Our room was very nice and a good size as alpine hotels go, the bathroom is a good size to with a very nice shower and everything is spotlessly clean.
The food is very good and varied and the waiting staff are just excellent, totally professional.
The Giggijoch lift is a short walk from the hotel.
