Just as good as last year.
Hotel great, facilities first class, skiing 2 minutes away and in a vast area too.
Once the kids get over 12 years as they go free up 'til then, can't see why we would want to go anywhere else!

This was our second trip to Scheffau and our first stay at the Kaiser in Tirol. Lovely Hotel which offers great value for money, The rooms are quite basic for an Austrian 4* hotel, however the food is great, buffet style with hot and cold dishes and something for everyone. Complimentary drinks in the evening were free flowing, served with a smile and even the wine we had was nice. The communal areas are all clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The pool and spa area are lovely, lots of towels and beds available round the pool which is smallish but the water is warm enough (not always the case in some Austrian hotels)

Short bus ride to the main Gondola. Ski shop at the bottom of the mountain very reasonable and the staff very helpful. They even loaned us some gloves one day when one of our party forgot theirs and helped the kids on and off with their boots etc.

Fabulous ski area, miles of motorway skiing and something different everyday, Not a challenging resort but great is your travelling with children, ski school, bumps through trees, great restaurants, not expensive lots of nice easy blues and reds where they can gain confidence.

Was there with a group of families with children for a ski vacation. The hotel was just right for this purpose.
The rooms are good sized. We stayed at a standard room that has a double bed and a pull out sofa that can sleep 2 small children or one adult. I know that there are family rooms and rooms with connecting doors as well. The room also has a nice bath tub.
The hotel is very children friendly, has a game room, a heated indoor pool, sauna and even a kids sauna.
The breakfast buffet is very rich. Dinner is also a buffet, which works great with kids that can quickly eat their main course then run over to the self-service ice-cream bar. This ever before we have finished our soup and salad. What is also great is that when you come back from skiing at 16:00, they have free coffee and cake and also some food such as chicken and potatoes, sausage or spaghetti Bolognese, waiting for you.
The hotel is located 800 meters from the ski lift. The ski bus stops in front of the hotel, and there is also a path going down to the gondola at the back of the hotel, but you need to return on the bus.
TIP: you can store you skies and boots in the ski shop next to the gondola, that way you don't need to carry them back to the hotel.
The only drawback is that the village is very very small. Within walking distance you will only find one ski shop, a super market and a bank. And that's about it. So if you are looking for great Austrian Apre-ski and nightlife – this is not the place. But if you come with kids, it's not that big of a problem

We stayed in this hotel for one week. The hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly. The food in the hotel is good.
We used the swimming pool inside (warm) and out sight (cold). And we had a lovely massage in the hotel. We travelled with two adults and a child (11 years old).

In the surroundings villages, on a short distance, you can make lovely hikes for beginners (family). We also visit a Haflinger show wilth horses and like that very much.

It was a good week to relax for all of us.

Great hotel. The spa is amazing. Rooms are not spectacular, but comfortable. Grounds are beautiful. Friendly for families.
