We came across the Jägerwirt whilst walking from Scheffau, so stopped for a drink. There's a superb view from the balcony which is decorated with lots of quirky things - pots and pans filled with plants, kitchen utensils hanging on tree stumps, and a Fensternl!
The menu looked good, so back in Scheffau a few hours later after the walk, we drove back up to the Jägerwirt for lunch and weren't disappointed. The dish of the day was roast pork served with a huge Knödel and Sauerkraut - all very tasty; others had goats cheese wrapped in bacon with a very fresh mixed salad. One friend can't eat wheat, so they happily provided a spelt loaf instead. Altogether a reasonably priced, very enjoyable, traditional Austrian meal.
