Very happy with this clean hotel, the staff Sonia and Zlokia and the rest in diningroom whom I cant name had great english were very eficient and friendly. My children were able to order spaghetti bolognaise or nuggets and fries (at no extra cost)if they didn't like the menu choices. Apre ski snack a nice touch after day skiing The proximity to the slopes was great less than 5 min and ski hire right next door.Would have liked more entertainment at night in bar area but ya We would go back

We were here first week in Feb 13. Second ski holiday in the last 3 years here. Hotel is great, clean, friendly and good location for short walk to slopes. Even ski hire is only next door. Book larger rooms if you can spare the money. We find the food really good, if a bit salty. ever go hungry here from morning to night. We have been all over for ski holidays and now think we will return to Seppi's Hotel for the foreseeable future. Even the snow this year was abundant. Very highly recommended by fairly seasoned travellers and intermediate skiers

We have just returned from our third skiing trip to St Johann and our third stay at the Gasthof Park. We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. Seppi and the Grander family and of course all the staff are so welcoming that we never feel the need to look anywhere else.
The Park is very close to the slopes with only a 2 minute walk to the main gondola, and also to Max's bar, the best place for Apres Ski. There is plenty is storage for ski's and boots in the Parks own skistalle, and next door is one of the best ski hire and workshops in St Johann, coincidentally owned by Seppi's brother Florian.
Meals at the Park consist of a buffet breakfast, with cereals, breads, jams, boiled eggs, scrambled egg and bacon, just please yourself. Evening meals are a 5 course delight with starter, soup, main, salad and dessert, on a couple of nights a week this is partly buffet but this does not detract from the quality. If this isn't enough there are apres ski snacks in the afternoon and the bar opens from 4pm.
What sets this place apart is how much Seppi gets involved with his guests, he is not your typical hotel owner, one that is rarely seen and never around when you need him. You will often find him one night of the week making pancakes for you in the restaurant as your dessert. Another night he is leading you round the town on a torchlight walk letting you into the secrets and history of a town he is rightly proud of.
Should the weather have been kind enough to provide a sufficient covering of snow on the toboggan track, then Wednesday night will see Seppi leading his intrepid followers up the mountain for a drink at the Hochfeld before launching themselves down the nighttime run of the toboggan track.
All in all this is the place to go if you are visiting St Johann, though the same family own the Hotel Fisher in the centre of town so this is also worth a look, although we haven't stayed at this location.

Room Tip: Rooms without balconies are larger. Though Room 11 is front facing to the main road, with a balcony and an amazing view of the Wilder Kaiser mountain range. It is also far enough from the bar not to be disturbed on the evening the hotel has live entertainment.

This was our second time returning to Hotel Park. We could not praise the management and staff enough. From the minute we booked to the day of our departure they were extremely helpful, and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. On our arrival we were offered dinner, and to our amazement the restaurant staff remembered us from our previous stay, they even remembered where we were seated. The bedroom was spacious and the bathroom was modern, and most importantly the shower pressure was excellent - for anyone that has gone skiing before knows a powerful shower is extremely important after a day spent on the slopes. The location of this hotel is perfect. The Gondola is only a 2 minute walk away and i guarantee you, you will be happy of this in the morning as the boots and ski's can get a little annoying to be carrying about. The food was amazing. The breakfast was buffet, and had plenty of choice. By the end of the week, Sonya would even have the coffee on the table once she saw you pottering around the buffet area. Seppi the Hotel owner or the "Host" he likes to be known as goes over and above to ensure you have a great stay. On Tuesday night he brings guest around the town showing them places of interest and on Wednesday night he brings you tabogoning which is so much fun. We cannot as a group recommend this hotel highly enough. Go for it you will not regret it.

This was our first trip to St Johann in the Tirol. This is a well located hotel literally a five minute walk to the slopes and it has its own secured ski and boot room, no need to use the facilities at the Bergbahn. The initial warm and genuine welcome at reception from Anita was maintained by all staff throughout the week whether in the reception, bar or restaurant.

The room we had was in the older part of the hotel and was facing onto the main road. Although we did experience road noise most nights from passing traffic and people returning in the early hours from the town this did not have a major impact on our stay.

The room was large, clean and spacious for two people and was warm. During the week we did have an issue with a ceiling ventilator which fell from the toilet ceiling due to wear and tear. We reported this issue to reception and emergency repairs were made that evening to minimise any further damage and prevent water loss. A full repair was made the next day replacing the ventilator and re plastering the toilet ceiling. This work was carried out whilst we were skiing and caused no disruption to our holiday. However Seppi the owner apologised profusely for the incident and potential inconvience to us and we were happy to receive his offer of a free bottle of wine.

This is how problems should be dealt with, with the minimum of fuss, quickly and professionally always having the wishes and concerns of the customer as the priority. An excellent quality service. Its not what the nature of the problems is, it is the way that it is dealt with that is important and if it leaves a good or bad impact on the paying guest.

The food in the restaurant was of a very high quality with plenty options for all including a vegetarian option each day. The portions were what you expect in Austria, plentiful and wholesome. The prices for good quality Austrian house wines and local beer were cheaper than their equivalent in the UK. The staff were helpful and friendly and the service we received from Sonja and Vonda exceptional.

The owners of the hotel the Family Grander have their roots in St Johann and know what is important to guest. Seppi the owner goes out his way to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay and personally speaks to most guests each day either in the reception or in the bar at night where he is available every day to have an informal chat about your day.

This is a very friendly hotel in a small friendly family orientated Ski Resort with lots of local skiing available for all levels....we will be back.

Room Tip: Rooms on the main road side do suffer from road noise if you are a light sleeper. But these rooms do have a balcony and stunning views of the mountains.
