“Excellent Friendly 4 star hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2011

just back from a 5 night skiing trip in St Anton with 8 others. Stayed at this hotel and would highly recommend it to small groups, families with older kids and couples. Although situated only 400 metres downhill from the village, the hotel will transport you to and from the village each day.
Hotel decor is very modern and the harsh lines and exposed concrete may not be to everyone's taste.
The rooms are modern, spacious and comfortable. The only criticism on the room is that there can be a bit of road noise of the window is left open.
There is free Wifi which saved on expensive roaming charges in dealing with emails.
Where the hotel really comes into it's own is in the food and service.
The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful and go out of their way to look after you and make sure that you have an enjoyable stay. We arrived on the first night at midnight and they served a 3 course hot meal for us.
The chef takes a lot of care with the food presentation and the quality and variety of the food was excellent.
In common with St Anton, Lech and Zurs the hotel and wine prices are high but based on the quality of the food and the excellent service I felt that it was good value and would highly recommend the hotel

Hotel ‘Lux Alpinae’, located in St. Anton, Tirol, is newly built in contemporary architectural style. I stayed there this January already for the second time for a short skiing trip during my travels in Europe.
I would call hotel Lux Alpinae a place somewhere between high-end winter lodge design, simplistic chic, yet very down-to earth and comfortable. Rooms are equipped with satellite TV, free WIFI and small balconies, downstairs there is a wellness area with sauna, steam room and massages.
The hotel is run by a very approachable family which gave a homely touch to my visit. Lux Alpinae hotel can be definitely called ‘a small gem’ as there are not many rooms but quality and service are nevertheless outstanding. The prices are very reasonable considering I was there during high-season and include breakfast and dinner. So you can enjoy an unpretentious (two meals to choose from), yet fine cuisine and afterwards some nice local 'schnapps' at the hotel bar. The service team is international and friendly, and a taxi service is available to drop you off and pick you up directly at the slope.
Definitely an awesome place if you want to relax, ski, communicate with other international guests and be rather sheltered from apres-ski craziness. :)

Hotel is a cool design with great service. Owners and general staff very friendly, helpful, and overall make you feel at home during your stay. On the half pension breakfast had a good selection (e.g. more than the standard bread, cheese and cold meats), and nice 4-5 course dinner with some healthy options.
Rooms are a good amount of space, although a bit on the minimal side.
Located next to the road but not very noisy.

Relaxed, friendly family run hotel.
Superb food and service.
Spacious comfortable room with relaxing sofa, spectacular views of the slopes from the floor to ceiling window.
Amazing relaxation area with sauna / steam to ease aching muscles.
Transport to from the slopes morning / afternoon or as required.
Made our Christmas a special one, thoroughly enjoyable holiday. We will definitely return.

Positives:
The staff at this hotel are excellent (very friendly and helpful) and the food is pretty good as well.
Negatives:
I have to say that the modern design is not really what you expect in a mountain resort (I prefer traditional chalets). The main problem of this hotel, is that its directly on the very busy Arlbergstrasse which means you hear cars from early morning to late at night! You dont get much sleep and its hard to relax...

Second stay in Lux Alpinae in 2010.
We enjoy the friendly and warm welcome, the great food (known as one of the best in St-Anton), the staff, the design...
Not in the center but the hotel provides a shuttle for the slopes, the pool, the center... on request. One of those address that you would like to keep secret ;-)

We stayed over Christmas at this hotel and were very impressed. It is not a 5 star hotel but the standard of the rooms, the service and the evening meal is very good (which makes it extremely good value and much better (and cheaper) than the "4 star" hotel we stayed in Lech during the same trip ). Do not be put off by its location. It is only a short walk from the town and the shuttle service, combined with being able to leave your skis and ski boots (for free) in the locker beside the main lift makes it extremely convenient.
I highly recommend this hotel (and St Anton as a ski resort)
