Arrived St. Anton via train with no reservations. We checked in with the visitor's office, and nearly every hotel, inn, and B&B was SOLD OUT. Fortunately for our group, Grischuna did have just a couple rooms left. Rates include half board, (breakfast/dinner). Rooms are updated, very clean, and comfortable. The owners are the most pleasant people, and the staff is First Class! I'm confident in saying you will not have a finer dining experience in the area. I noticed when we were first seated for dinner service that the silverware, and glasses were perfectly polished, and appeared brand new. This meticulous attention to detail applied to every aspect of our week-long stay. If you find yourself traveling to St. Anton please do yourself a favor and book in advance to guarantee yourself space in this Amazing Hotel!!!

I have been visiting St Anton for three decades and would not stay anywhere else. The hotel is very well appointed and comfortable, the cuisine is outstanding and the welcome from all the family makes one feel completely at home in their own home.

The hosts delight in giving advice about their village, the skiing, the ski school, where to rent and are so helpful. If you arrive by train they will pick you up from the station and they run a shuttle bus from the ski area back to the hotel (in case your legs are weary!) and there you can enjoy the sauna.

Room Tip: All rooms are comfortable and quiet, superb ensuite facilities

This is my first time going to the effort of writing a review on anywhere I stayed, and it is because I was so impressed with this hotel.
We chose it based on reviews of the food here and it certainly lived up to all that was promised. Our dining experience every morning and particularly evening was a delight. Booking 1/2 board can sometimes be very brave - you never know the standard you will get, but here we found that if there was something on the menu for any of the courses that you didn't like then the kitchen would make something else for you, and the qulaity of everything was fabulous.
Also, we made a request during the wk to include garlic soup on the menu some evening as St Anton is the only place I have come across it - and on one of the evenings it was prepared especially for us and was divine!
The rooms were clean and personal service was excellent also, but it is really for the kitchen and dining experience that this hotel stood out for us and I would have no hesitation recommending it.

We visited the hotel at March 22, 2013.
The hotel is well designed and very clean. Although the rooms were quite simple they were beautiful and very clean and tidy.
The staff is amazing and helped us with everything we needed.
The food was outstanding, it was like eating in a 5 stars restaurant. The staff assisted with any special request we had without hesitation.
The Sauna of the hotel is very pleasant and very well designed.
Location wise, from the hotel to the lifts there is a 7 min walk (down hill) it is quite good since it prepares you for a tough day of ski. From the lifts back to the hotel you cant take the hotel pick up car at 16:00-17:00. The hotel also provides a locker near the lifts where you can leave your skis and poles - this was super important!.

Overall - a great place to stay - we enjoyed every minute of it.
However, price wise, the hotel is more expensive than some 4 stars hotels in the town. Please further note, that all prices are per person!!!! and not per room!!!

We just returned from a FABULOUS stay at Hotel Grischuna and we cannot say enough wonderful things about this hotel and its owners. From the moment you are greeted at the front door by Raymond, you feel instantly like you are among family. NEVER have we ever experienced such warm hospitality. The entire staff is a treasure. In fact, our meals were so delicious, we asked Raymond if we could go into the kitchen to personally thank the Chef and his staff. Without hesitation, Raymond led the way and it was our sincere pleasure to have the opportunity to say thanks for a job well done.
Everyone at the hotel speaks excellent English so there are no awkward moments and you'll do well by ordering a "Snowman" as an after dinner drink in their lounge. Questions? Just ask Raymond or his lovely wife Elfie. They are a wealth of knowledge and take great pride in making sure their guests enjoy their stay. Their sons Max and Sebastian are equally as nice and helpful and willing to do whatever it takes to make you happy.

In terms of the accommodations, our room had a balcony, comfy double bed and fantastic hot shower with big drying towels for enjoyment after a day on the slopes. The entire hotel is spotless. I was truly amazed how immaculate everything is, especially with guests in and out all day. Not a speck of dust anywhere! Amazing!

The location is also perfect. Not too far away from the center, but far enough so that a quiet restful sleep can be achieved. Each night was peaceful and so relaxing. A must for anyone zonked out after a full day on the slopes.

The only "negative" I can think of was that our trip ended way too soon. I wouldn't hesitate to return to Hotel Grischuna and anyone thinking of visiting St. Anton should jump at the chance to stay at this wonderful hotel. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Huge thanks to Raymond, Elfie, Max, Sebastian and their entire staff for helping us achieve a trip of a lifetime.

We have just returned from our new break in St Anton, and our first visit to the Hotel Grischuna. On arrival there was a very warm welcome from Raymond and Elfie, the owners. A mixture of guests from all over Europe including several from the UK. All of the staff speak very good English so there are no language difficulties. The hotel is situated just above the town in a peaceful area so a good nights sleep is assured.
Do not be fooled by the three stars, eating in the restaurant is a five star experience thanks to Max and the team. We all came back with lasting memories of the fantastic meals and with a couple of inches on our waistline!
Thanks to all for making our holiday so special. When we return to St Anton it will be to the Grischuna.
