“Excellent food and wine but expensive”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2013

The Museum is a beautiful fine dining restaurant at the bottom of the blue 1 ski run down from the mountain. If you go for dinner during ski season, you will probably see skiers and boarders bombing down the slope in the dark from the apres-ski bars further up! The restaurant is very smart and atmospheric and there is an interesting museum upstairs (hence the name!).

Prices are quite expensive (starters mostly around 15€, mains generally 26-30€). Our group ended up paying 80€pp for starter, main, a few desserts/coffees and plenty of wine (including tip).

The food is excellent and worth the money. We were given some lard with bacon pieces to spread on bread as an appetiser, which was salty and savoury and delicious. I shared very good steak tartare for a starter. They kindly split the portion into two half portions, beautifully presented. Other starters looked interesting and the feedback was excellent. Mains were of the same calibre. Venison with braised red cabbage was delicious, as were tournados of beef. We had three types of wine, all of which were very good.

All in all, a very enjoyable meal but quite expensive so better for a treat than an everyday meal.

“Cozy and Fun”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2013

Very Austrian! Great for friends, special occasions, or a date. Delicious steak and a reasonable wine list. Traditional interior is cozy and inviting. A visit to the museum upstairs is an added bonus. Service is attentive without being overbearing. A great place to talk the evening away after a fantastic meal.

“Beautiful restaurant - very good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 9, 2013

This is a very beautiful restaurant by any standards. Food is between very good and excellent. I loved the hay soup. It is not cheap - about 65€ pp with half bottle og good Austrian wine but it is in line with expectations.

“Very atmospheric and Austrian smart restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2013

Booked in advance to eat here as a family on our first night. AMAZING place and superb food with FAULTLESS friendly service. Great wine list. However the teens thought it dull so send them elsewhere....that is not to say that they did not love the food. We will return here.

“Expensive, but really good.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2013 via mobile

We were a group of 21 so submitted our food choices a couple of days before so that the kitchen could prepare. The food was excellent with some unusual and original flavour combinations. Service was good even with such a large group and our waitress was friendly and good humoured. The surroundings of the museum made for a cosy and warm atmosphere and we had a really great evening.
