We booked this at the last minute (5 days before departure) based on not just the value for money it offered but also on the other good reviews. We were not disappointed!

The owners made us feel extremely welcome from the minute we stepped through the door which included presenting us with a hot meal on our arrival well after midnight due to flight delays.

Yes the rooms are a bit basic but they are warm, very clean and there was plenty of storage space for all of our ski clothing. The showers in our rooms were piping hot other than one afternoon when we returned from skiing earlier than normal but it was just a short wait until there was hot water. There was plenty to eat and always something on the menu that we all liked. We certainly never went hungry!

What's missing? Yes a kettle would have been useful and, although the rooms were very warm, there was nowhere to dry gloves, boot liners, etc at the end of the day but that's just something that we have got used to having at previous hotels/chalets.

We were very lucky with the price we paid, having booked so late, and we will definitely keep an eye out in future as we would happily return!

Room tip: Ask for a room on the front of the hotel or on a higher floor at the back of the hotel.

This hotel was booked based on the reviews it has received - having visited, I do not understand why they are so favourable.

This is a 2 star hotel at best and a welcome greeting cannot surely be enough to warrant such rave reviews.

The downstairs decor is nice and has a welcoming feel however this stops at the stairs/lift. The rooms are in need of updating/refurbishing appearing tired and dated. You needed to let the shower run for several long minutes if you wanted a hot one, the same for the hot water tap in the sink, (every day).

There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but to be fair, this may be just something I like to have and others may not mind it not being there.

The food is not really home cooked and consists of mainly frozen/packet items - each night there is a choice of 2 menus that you select at breakfast. Menus consisted of soup every night (no bread rolls), followed by omelette and chips or fish and chips or sausage and chips, or pork schnitzel, wedges, plus a couple of other options with rice and a little veg. There were a couple of nice desserts but it then became mainly ice-cream.

One dessert consisted of a tumbler glass half filled with yogurt, a dollop of cream on top, a smaller dollop of breakfast jam on top of that plus a wafer straw????? - that is not a dessert and it says a lot that this was considered good enough to put on the table for guests.

The restaurant has a lot of fixed bench seating so its possible you may be paired up with other guests for the duration of your stay. A table is allocated to you for your entire stay.

Breakfast gives a choice of teas, coffees and juice, toast, bread rolls, cereals, fruit salad with tinned and fresh fruit, ham, cheese or scrambled eggs, bacon and boiled eggs.

For those skiing - the ski room is outside at the bottom of the hotel and is locked at around 9.30pm til 8am in the morning though you can open it at any time with your room key. The boot room is inside, again at the bottom of the hotel and though it does have many shelves, there is nowhere adequate to dry them out resulting in damp boots each new morning. There are no radiators in the rooms, the only one for drying out kit is downstairs outside the boot room - 1 for all guests. The sauna facilities are very nice but again, if you wear swimwear, there is no where to dry it other than the 1 radiator next to the boot room. (Some nationalities have no issue wearing zero in the sauna which may take some by surprise :-) )

I don't think this hotel is as good as the reviews claim but each to their own - this is my opinion. The hotel was ok, not great but it had no bearing on our holiday - the skiing was great and we had a blast!

We have just returned from this lovely family run hotel. Reggie, Hannes and Michael are excellent hosts. Room was clean and cosy and the bathroom had a bath, which was great as my wife is claustrophobic in shower cubicles. Our room was on the third floor at the front with great views of the village and mountains. Food was very good and tasty with a choice of two main courses for evening meal. We hope to return again sometime in the future.

Room tip: Higher floors have better views whether back or front.

Brilliant family run hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the family. We were given two choice of meal every evening and all the food was delicious. We would happily return after revceiving a very warm welcome.

Had another wonderful week here at this residence. The owners remembered us from our visit last year and we met some returning guests as well. With picture postcard scenery all around it is a great place for a holiday.
The weather was mixed but we managed a few local walks and also visited Innsbruck.
The free pass for the lifts and entry to the swimming complex is the added bonus.
During the summer they have lots of festivals so you can see the ladies and gents in their traditional dress and the local band plays weekly in the village.
A place where they have kept their traditions and festivals and lovely to see families come together.
It is a basic breakfast and an evening meal at a set time. It is a family run hotel and good value for money compared to some places in the UK
