“Great ski to be found at Ischgl!”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

We had a lovely ski vacation in Ischgl late March. There are many red and black trails that stay open until relatively late in the season. I recommend this site for intermediate/advanced skiers. It is pretty easy to ski between different areas if you can do the reds and blacks. However, because it is among the more expensive ski sites, it is a waste of money for someone who is just starting out and won't be able to benefit from the higher slopes. Better to go to Bulgaria or even Italy where the whole deal is cheaper.

One of our favorite experiences this trip was going night skiing. It was really special and highly recommend it! I can't say that I was impressed by the Austrain cuisine or by the locals. They are cold as the weather and enjoy nothing more than eating pig three times a day without giving a thought to salad. It may be in my head, but I think I picked up on some anti-semitism as well.

“Ooooooh!”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

Silvretta arena belongs to one of the best skiing resorts I have ever been. Lot of well prepared slopes of different difficulty, snow guarantee, nice alpine villages and duty free zone in Samnaun.

“Good variety, great lift system”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

Great ski area, good choice of challenging reds with the odd decent black. Red 7 a favourite, generally quiet. Also reds to the right hand side quieter and away from the main hoard of people who ski back into the Idalp area.

Skiing down to the resort is good - just avoid the peak times when you get the idiots going too fast for the conditions and number of people on the slopes.

Lift system is excellent, hardly any queues all week - been here twice, both times around the end of Feb (2012, 2013). Will come back again.

Most of the resorts restaurants are large, modern affairs - not to everyone's taste of traditional huts, but nevertheless offering some great food and not bad price wise either.

“Good pistes and apres ski, no nice little huts”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

Great pistes and facilities. Amazing apres ski down in the valley, but only one option up on the moauntain - only if you ski the west side. There are no cute little huts for lunch anywhere on the piste. There are some good options though - the marmotte at alp trida is lovely.
