haus hislop is a great place to stay, is great value and has a great host in Claire. theres plenty to do both locally and slightly further afield, incl. some great waterparks and bathing lakes. there's plenty to choose from in terms of places to eat but if have a car then Reith is worth a visit. great take away pizzas too from the hotel in Alpbach. looking forward to returning in march to haus hislop for skiing.

The appartment was clean, spacious and comfortable. Claire made us welcome and bent over backwards to help us make the most of our holiday but in a friendly and unobtrusive way. The Seenland card gave free bus travel and some gondola access as well as the swimming lakes which she had all organised before our arrival. Great walking and cycling on (flat!) cycle paths in the next valley, with bike hire at the train stations and the option to put them on the train or leave them at a different station was a highlight. Inneralpbach is a small village, very quiet and peaceful. It would be better to stay in for skiing than Alpbach, but there are no shops for supplies. We had a great relaxing/ energetic holiday.

What can I say, absolutely superb week, apartment fabulous, had everything we needed. Claire the owner/manager fabulous, nothing is too much trouble, full of tips and advice, wicked sense of humour (fellow Yorkshire woman)! Will definitely visit again, would love to go in winter even though I don't ski! Very picturesque scenery, fabulous meals up at the Zirmalm. A must when visiting Austria is the Grossglockner pass, especially on the motorbike!

First time in Austria. Claire, the owner was a very attentive host, full of local knowledge who told us about the local places to see and visit. Very well equipped flat overlooking the Tyrol.
Cannot wait to go back!!!!

Room Tip: Flat 3 for 2 was special.

It is hard to think of enough superlatives for the hausHislop penthouse - the views and accomodation are stunning and the welcome given by Claire even surpasses the stunning views.
5 old men stayed here for an idyllic weeks skiing and partying. The restauarant just above the chalet is also a must to visit as are many of the restauranst in nearby Alpbach.
The skiing is good for intermediates and some good off piste with the near resorts of Itter and Soll giving great fun for experts. Join int he nightime skiing - also good fun. Cannot wit to go back - this time with a bigger group as evryone i have told wants to go. Cheap flights to Salzburg and Munich - easy car hire and drive ( but get snowtyres and / or chains - Quite simply a fabulous week allround Charlie Sunderland

Room Tip: Penthous ehas 2 bedrooms with twin bunkbeds and alarge doubl ein both - greta for families and good...

Brilliant to have a real Yorkshire lass (Claire) at the other end in Austria !
First time in InnerAlpach - beautiful - and our first time in the Penthouse in Haus Hislop (I suspect it wont be our last!) There were 8 of us - all couples within one family and so we needed something roomy....The Penthouse was just that. The main open plan dining room lounge and kitchen was the ideal space for us all to gather and eat and play after a days skiiing. We had had great e mail communication with Claire in the run up to the holiday and were well briefed on where the local supermarket, restaurants and ski hire places were. She also gave us tips on taxis (ordered for us) and local buses and responded to all our requests for all the little extras - even a hotwater bottle when my husband said he had a bad back !!!!
The Penthouse is great for large parties - can sleep 12 if you utilise the sofa bed and mattresses in the open plan lounge area but more comfortably suits 2 families as 4 of the beds are bunks.
The kitchen has full oven and all the various dishes, glasses etc that you will need to cook meals - we ate in for 5 of the 6 nights choosing to lunch out instead at the top of the mountain!! But dont miss the fondu at the 2 minute walk up the hill Zirmalm restaurant - it was a recommendation of Claires and so we went ther to celebrate early our sons 21st . It was superb and cheap. Lovely to not have to get in the car to drive home after.
For the keen skiiers Haus Hislop has a large 3 car garage and a drying room and one of the red runs comes right back to the House in season. Lifts and gondola just a short walk away and supermarket a bus ride away. Ski school visible from the house - 3 minute walk.
A wonderful house ( balcony views from both the Penthouse and the 3 apartments are to die for) both winter and summer.

Room Tip: Penthouse for 2 families although it is possible to book the apartments together and share a balcony...

We enjoyed it so much last year that it was just such an easy decision to re-visit the place. We've stayed in a lot of good spots in the Alps, but this chalet is by far the best. The owner, Claire, makes it feel like it's your own well equipped home. Nice and free and easy. There may be more extensive skiing in the French Alps etc, but there's more than enough for a good weeks skiing and it's only a short drive to the Zillertal valley or the Kitzbuhel circus for the very adventurous. The conditions this year were superb even though we were there quite late in the season. Highly recommended indeed and it's likely we shall go back for more!

Room Tip: There all good. We had a peep in the Penthouse and that would be fabulous for a group of friends!
