Panorama room very comfortable. breakfast very high quality, half board dinner better than everywhere else on skiing holidays for more than 20 years. Personnel friendly and very helpful. Will come back.

We always enjoy the food and service we receive each year. The staff always remember us from one year to the next.

“Best in Alpbach!”
Reviewed February 28, 2012

Lovely meal at a busy time and I could add "as always". We are never disappotinted here and the ability to cope with a full hotel and a large-ish (10) party for dinner is exceptional. We were most impressed with the quality of food, the service (thank you Cristophe!) and, in these times, the cost (the menu of the Day is exceptional value). We have come here for our last holiday meal for a number of years now and will continue to do so (maybe we should sneak in another visit during the week).

“Superb restaurant in central Alpbach”
Reviewed February 20, 2012

Excellent restaurant . I went with a group of friends and family. on last day of trip to Alpbach. Very welcoming staff, superb service in dining room. All the group were happy with their food and wine. No complaints at all. Wish I had been earlier in week as we would have been back.

“Best service in Alpbach”
Reviewed December 29, 2011

This summer we (2 adults and a teenage kid) stayed for almost a week in Alpbach. We planned to dine at a different restaurant each night but the Alpbacherhof was the only one where we HAD to return.

One of the reasons was Peter (our server from the first visit) and the second (of course) was the food.

Our meal started "on the right foot" with a complimentary chef's special appetizer. (Sorry, can't remember the name of the dish...)

We had salads and an octopus Carpaccio as appetizers

The main course consisted of Tafelspitz (boiled tri-tip), chanterelles goulash, and a rib-eye steak. A bottle of Scheibel Pinot Noir went along pretty well with those dishes.

Deserts: chocolate mousse, ice cream and rhubarb Griesknöd (some sort of semolina dumplings).

Cost: about 130 euro.

TIP: Weather permitting, grab a beer (or schnapps) and watch the sunset from the terrace.
