We were very happy with this hotel, rooms were very clean, helpful and friendly staff, delicious and lots of variety in the food. Lovely sauna/relax area, play area for the kids. Ski bus outside the door two stops to the schmitten skilift.Good warm ventilated room for ski material. Short walk up the hill to schmitten hotel for evening dinner was just fine. Wonderful varied saladbar every evening. This hotel was exactly as decribed in the brochure. We were even given a lovely breakfast package for our long drive home to Belgium. We highly recommend this hotel.

When we arrived as a party of 8 We got the smallest room by far which we wern;t happy about. We booked what we thought was a twin room but it turned out to be a double bed which couldn't be split. We opted to upgrade to the Schmittenhof hotel which is the sister hotel to the Martha. The other guys in our party were happy and the price was great. The staff really looked after us all week and both hotels were spotless. Food was as good as we have ever had both breakfast and evening meal. The cost of the upgrade was well worth it and we will be going back in the future. Ditar (hope I spelt this right) was in charge at the Martha and his limited English was fun and the guys had a great laugh with him. Location is a little out of town but the price we paid left budget for taxis. We used hotel taxi to go to Kaprun and Saalbach and we were lucky to have excellent snow conditions. Bigger rooms and town centre location would be lots more money. Great Value

This was a great hotel for us, they collected us at Munich airport and brought us straight there, while it was a 15 min walk to the lifts, you could ski home - and there was a super little bar and food after each days skiing. They couldn't have been nicer.

I don't recommend anyone to stay in this hotel. there is no reception, the reception is in another hotel, 400 meter from Martha. Regarding to my experience, the reception cannot do or resolve anything except check in and check out. Also, the breakfast is not good. internet doesn't work in many rooms. Finally, I complained and asked the hotel manager if he is satisfied about the hotel services, and he said that " I'm satisfied !!!!!!!!".

Room Tip: lake view is seen only from rooms on the higher floor

Yes, nearly everything you wrote is true, and is also mentioned on our homepage and several booking engines !

Check IN and OUT is in Hotel Der Schmittenhof, which is 250 Meters from Landhotel Martha
The breakfast is in Hotel Martha – but very fine and well prepared how other guests think of
Dinner is in Hotel Der Schmittenhof

In Landhotel Martha you find our helpful stuff 7.00 till 12.00 a.m. And 4 till 8 p.m. - sorry NOT at midnight, like you wanted – we do not serve 24 hours a day, even not in Schmittenhof, this was your complaint to be honest !
Internet – High speed WIFI is available on a flat rate of EUR 3,00 for your stay – sorry that nobody was there at midnight again to help you in this case…

We ask you to read all these things before, beeing afterwards angry about us is not helpful, AND do not forget to compare the price to other hotels, and here we take care of our service – other guests love the Landhotel Martha for the cosyness, helpfulness a.s.o. !

I told you all that when you complained, but here once again, despite that I am sure these information's can be found already – only read it !!
We regret, that we could not satisfy you !

We booked here last minute online and even called to ensure all would be fine. Reception told me to email, but the address on their website is wrong. After walking the hill we found an empty hotel and a note to continue walking further to check in at their 2nd hotel. After the receptionist finished her phone call she acknowledged our existence! She handed us a key and sent us back down the hill. I called reception requesting the password for the wifi advertised as free in public areas. She assured us her colleague would deliver this info shortly. Some 4 hours later we trekked back up the hill to get the password ourselves and to have dinner in the restaurant as advertised in the in room info. No luck on both counts. Maybe in the morning the colleague would give us the password! I checked that yes it was free in the public areas. So back down the hill for dinner with a very vague indication that we may find somewhere to eat.

Breakfast was nice with good choice, no plain black tea though, you can have every other flavour you can think of but not plain tea! Again I asked for the elusive password for wifi (twice) only to be informed that it would be 6€ per hour!!!! Not sure what happened to the free public area, but forget paying that fee for what is inclusive every other hotel we have stayed in.

Our room was literally not big enough to swing a cat in. The bathroom had no light switch, but a timed sensor. So most showers were finished in the dark! Sitting on the loo also meant waving your arms above your head regularly to keep from ending up in the dark! The bathroom was also damp all day due to very poor ventilation.

On a whole this was our most expensive per night hotel stay on this 4 week trip and also the only one I would never stay in again. I really don't like paying prime prices and being left to feel like we are nothing more than an inconvenience to all the staff we did come in contact with. It is such a shame as we really thought this was going to be our favourite. Do yourself a favour and save some cash and go for the budget option elsewhere.

We could not fault this hotel, It ticked all of our boxes. The food was excellent and the staff more than helpfull. The rooms are large, clean and fresh with excellent facilities. Access to the slopes is easy, bus outside the door and ski back, and we loved the wellness facilities however a pool or bigger spa bath would be a benefit. All in all highly recomended for a break in a welcoming and friendly establishment.

Room Tip: Didn't appear to be any bad rooms

I read the other reviews on here after i booked up to go and was rather worried- a group of 7 of us went 6 ladies and 1 gent 23 jan 2010 - 30 jan 2010 for a ski trip.
I found the hotel superb well run friendly staff alwys on hand. we were half board got a decent breakfast every morning 7-30 - 10 am served and a 4 course meal every evening that always left us stuffed altghough the soup was a little watery at times.
we purchased our own beers from the supermarket and drunk these after our meal up stairs - i got the impression it had just had a major refurbishment and a good one to. They have a wellness suite with a suana wich is more than adequate for 5 people and most evening when i went in around 5pm there was no one in there they also had a steam room and a jacuzzi type bath and sun bed. hotel is situated approx 5 mins from main gondola and there is a bus stop right outside the chalet with a bus every 10mins in the morning so no probs there. At the end of the day we were able to ski back to our chalet from the slope - on the piste map pick up 12a blue and head for 43a on the map it is also sign posted "hotel marth this way" on the piste before a bridge.
To sum up the 3 reviews before compelled me to write this as i felt they were grossly inacurate and unfair - perhaps hotel martha have picked up there game due to complaints - i have none or perhaps the other 3 reveiwers were dorks -
i would recoomend this to any one that once a quiet holiday with every thing within walking distance ..
