Stayed here for my first ever ski trip in January 2010 although unfortunately Trip Advisor would not let me go that far back.
Absolutely amazing place!! Eugene and Margaret are without doubt the best hosts i've ever had at anywhere I have ever stayed.
Haus Ashling is up a bit of a hill so might not be ideal for some but was not a problem for us, especially considering it meant we could Ski straight from the front door and not have to mess around with buses. Upon arriving Margaret and Eugene met us in town and told us where we could get our lift passes and then waited and drove us up to the B&B.
It is immaculately clean with beautiful views over looking the village of Zell. Lovely continental breakfast each morning or if you prefer Margaret will make you a cooked English or Irish breakfast for a few Euros.
Ski in/out was a huge bonus. You can put your Ski's on at the front door in the morning and Ski down to the main gondola in literally 30 seconds. They also had in place an honesty bar where you basically got your own beers and wrote down on a note pad what you had and then paid later. We loved this idea and just pray everybody stuck to the name and is honest as not to ruin it for others.
Have been back to Zell twice since but unfortunately Haus Ashling is always fully booked by the time we come to booking our trip.
Will hopefully stay here again in the near future and can't recommend it enough to everybody.
