Our family of 4 stayed in Zell Am See for 1 night during our vacation through Bavaria. We had the 2 bedroom suite on the second floor. Each had a large comfy king sized bed, sitting area in between, and very nice bathroom. The decor was very charming and it was a very comfortable stay. The lake is a short walk from the hotel as is the village area with tons of restaurants and shops. We were there on a Wednesday evening which is apparently a festive day of the week in Zell Am See during the summer. There is free parking on-site. While it did not bother us, I will warn you that there is no elevator in the hotel so baggage will need to be carried up to the upper floors. We did not dine in the restaurant, though the menu looked good. We would have loved to stay an additional night to enjoy the hotel and surrounding areas, but we were glad we had the one night. I'd highly recommend if you're looking for a very quiet and charming place to stay in Zell Am See!

Room Tip: We loved the 2 bedroom suite on the second floor, very large!

Being a family of 4 with teenagers, we chose the Hugo suite. Perfect choice and couldn't say more about the accommodations themselves (very spacious, well appointed, quiet and had everything we needed and then some). The staff were outstanding, from simple items on questions to more unexpected items - for instance, Annette was gracious enough to allow us to use 2 bikes for my son and I to ride daily (great rides around the area). The location is quiet and away from the majority of the hustle/bustle (such as it exists) in Zell am See. As to other items: the breakfast's were well done, the use of a private area on the lake w a simple guest house was an outstanding feature; dinner at the onsite restaurant was a treat for our children; and the surrounding area is picture beautiful and very relaxing while still having plenty of fun activities if so chosen - having come from the F1 race in Spielberg and before that a week in Vienna, have to say this was the perfect respite to a hectic and jam packed vacation. Well done and highly recommend to anyone. Once again, thanks to the staff and Annette for a wonderful experience for our family.

My family, with two teenagers, enjoyed our stay here so much that we extended our stay to five days in this amazing hotel.
Set in large and beautiful grounds, peaceful and lush with greenery, this is an old "castle" just at the north point of the Zell lake. Very accessible in our rental to the main town as well as the whole area south of Salzburg - plenty of day trips available to the heritage towns, hiking spots and ice caves.
We had booked the Family Suite, which comprises two large bedrooms and a very comfortable living lounge (with unfortunately just one bathroom, which is the only downside to the suite). The suite was really great value for money!
The staff were wonderful, even if not all had good English (but you could see they were always trying hard to please). The breakfast and service at the restaurant was top class.

We were guests at a wedding here although didn’t stay in the Schloss itself but at Mavida Wellness Spa which was a great hotel too. We were in the Schloss for a party in the night before the wedding, then the wedding itself the next day. The evening of the wedding was in the restaurant - Mayers. The Schloss was gorgeous, comfortable and the rooms and bathrooms we saw looked fabulous. Food on the party night was delicious staff just excellent - friendly super helpful nothing too much trouble. The wedding room was lovely and intimate and the drinks reception was great.

The evening meal and party in Mayers was absolutely stunning. The chef, Andreas Mayer has Michelin stars to his name and it didn’t disappoint. Just first class venue and service. Amazing.

Dear Sally, this wedding was so special and especially nice! But not only made by us, by food, champagne or the excellent dinner. You and all the other guests made it special. Everybody was so Close to bride & groom and that was felt in every Moment. Even by our Team and staff. Thank you once again for being with us, partying and laughing with us. Hope to see you all again. Yours Anette

It has taken me this long to write a review because since our wedding in April 2017 our life has been such a whirlwind. Anette started of our married life in the most stunning Schloss and I could not be more grateful for all she did for us. From the first moment we visited the Schloss and met Anette we knew that it was the place we wanted to get married in. And I am so happy that we did. She made it happen. The most perfect, relaxed, happiest and unforgettable day of our lives and of our guests’ as well. Anette was the calmest and most helpful person and all our meetings beforehand meant that our wedding was going to be just perfect! She knew everyone we needed to help our guest have the best time, to eat the best food, to drink the best drinks... Could not have done it without her advice and help. We spent our wedding night in the Schloss, in the room in which my bridesmaids and I got ready (with the help of the incredible hairdressers that Anette recommended) and it was absolutely perfect! We had it all - from the delightful and unique priest, the funniest entertainer, talented hairdressers, incredible cooks, unforgettable helicopter ride to such a resourceful, calm, helpful, caring Anette!!! Such a dream!!! I wish we could do it all over again!!! Cannot wait to visit Zell am See in 2018 and give Anette a huge hug again!!! She made 2017 truly spectacular for us and we cannot thank her enough!!!
