When I called the hotel Tannenhof trying to explain that due to health reason I had to cancel my reservation the receptionist Manuela told me she had no time to talk to me. "Send us an email, we have no time to talk on the phone to customers..."
When I insisted to talk to her on and explained that I needed to cancel my booking due to health reasons she show no pity or mercy and eventually HANG UP on me.
I called her back. Having prepaid (for around 100€) a room with half board I asked at least for a partial refund for the unused meals. She continued to show no mercy and refused to offer any refund.
"Not even 1 Euro you will get back from us" She said and she HANG UP again while I was talking.
Be aware that this is what you can expect when booking a room at Tannenhof.
My impression is that they just want your many and they are unable to show empathy or pity even when health issues are concerned.
In the end I lost all of my money and I was shocked by the rudeness of the receptionist.
Be carefull......

Sehr geehrter Gast!

We stayed in the Hotel Tannenhof for two nights and loved everything about it. We had a junior suite on the third floor that looked out over the valley. The balcony was large and had screens on each side so that you did not have to worry about your privacy. The rooms were very comfortable and the bathroom very clean and with all the amenities you needed. The location is perfect if you are skiing in the winter or riding the gondola up the mountain to hike in the summer. It is literally across the street from the ski lift. The service was outstanding, and the staff very helpful and accommodating. We liked the fact that at almost every hotel where we stayed at in Austria, and had half board, you were assigned a table and that was your table for your entire stay. Due to this you get to know the wait staff well. We were very fortunate to have Agnes assigned to our table, and thoroughly enjoyed talking with her. Not only was she very efficient in providing us with our meal service, she was also very friendly and thoughtful and she made our stay at Hotel Tannenhof even more special. There are quite a few hotels in this area and we were very pleased that we picked this one. It was fantastic!!!

Room tip: Our junior suite was wonderful and had great views.

We are staying at the hotel for one week skiing. We travel a lot both private and business and we have never experienced a hotel like this. It is located just in the heart of the ski resort next to the lift. The welcome and service are outstanding. They really take care of you and the hotel has everything. The food is excellent and on gourmet level.....looking foreward to the coming holidays

Although the hotel was empty we have receive the worst room on last floor, under the sloppy roof. The smell in the hallways is bad, and the fixtures are old and outdated. In the morning, I was coming out from the shower and i bumped into a man who let himself in our room. He spoke German only and insisted to come in. My husband was in his underwear... The guy comes in and looks at the radiator and leave... with no explanation... from anybody. We recover from the shock, husband goes to take a shower and I take the bathrobe off and turn to get dressed, right in front of the door (there was no other place in the room). That moment the door is opened AGAIN and ANOTHER man who comes in! I am completely naked and start to shout at him in English, he said something in German and leave the room. Pointless to say that NOBODY from the hotel mentioned the incidents and we never received an explanation or any apologies.
Confirmed price was 130 Euro. Our son did not need or have an extra bed (that was 30 Euro) but we were asked to pay nevertheless. It was not to cover his food because we paid 10 Euro for that too... Food for half board was mediocre. Menu in German only (entire hotel is made for German speakers only, no En info or TV channels). Total price for one night HB with a glass of wine and a beer for dinner was 180 EURO. WOULD YOU PAY FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS???? WOULD YOU GO BACK FOR MORE???

How is it possible to pretend that you are a 4**** superior and not call ahead in the room if you need to urgently enter? Especially when you only have 3 rooms occupied? HOW can you not apologize for such a huge mistake??? The only improvement possible is fire all the personnel or close permanently. I vote for the last option.

Dear Julia,

we are really sorry that you didn’t like our hotel. We would also like to give our opinion to you:

You stayed in our hotel only one night and you booked a special deal for € 129,00 for 2 adults with halfboard!! The room has 24 m² with balcony, bath and a walk-in-cabinet. It’s in the 4th-floor with a wonderful view and it’s not an old room. It’s really not true that you got the badest room in our hotel!

You booked a small room with a very cheap price only for 2 adults. But you arrived without an announcement with a child (7 years) and believed you haven’t to pay anything for the child. But it‘s out of order to book for 2 person and come with 3 person. It’s normal to pay per person. Children born 2008 an younger are free with children-halfboard (also for 1 night). When you stay 3 nights and more children until 14 years old are free of charge also with children-halfboard THE WHOLE SUMMER LONG in our house! You ony stayed one night so you have to pay. Children also can eat the menu for adults – it cost € 10,00.

We are really sorry that somebody came in your room! We didn’t know this and it’s not all right! We would like to apologise for this bad mistake! It’s really not normal in our hotel and we are really surprised about this!

We have an english menu for our guests which are not speak German. We are really sorry that nobody gave you the english menu! We are surprised that you didn’t like our meal because we have an exellent cook and everybody likes it.

We really have a very nice personal and we are very proud of them! Everybody can make mistakes that’s normal. To say we should fire our personal or to close our hotel is very agressive and impertinent. Normaly we have only guests with more behavior and not bargain-hunter!
