This hotel is the best 4 star hotel that we have ever stayed in. Such pleasure in returning for the third time and being relaxed even before reaching it in the knowledge that everything will be to such a high standard, it's like adding an extra day to the holiday. The Reiterkogel double room in which we stayed was very generously proportioned and looked out on the back garden, the outdoor heated pool and the hot tub. From the balcony, one could see the snowcovered mountains. Rooms are spotless and decor outstanding. Lots of extras in the room like free bottled water and free fruit juices stored in small fridge. Bathrooms are neat, bright and new with great lighting.
If you look at the website everything you read is true however you can only imagine how the food tastes. I am happy to say that when I think of the food I have eaten in Hotel
Theresia I think of my favourite gourmet restaurant. When I think of the staff I think of the best hospitality staff I have encountered in other hotels over the years. I particularly like the fact that this is a family owned hotel where the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Breittermaier are very much in evidence each day looking after their guests.
This is a happy place to spend your holiday and you are in for a real treat.

There are few things to quibble about with this hotel. The staff are wonderful and always most helpful even when things are not straightforward. They all, even the youngest, have excellent English. The kitchen copes well with food allergies or other dietary restrictions and manages to serve up delicious meals that are sufficient without being overwhelming in quantity. There are plenty of choices, including organic and wholefood as well as traditional Austrian dishes which are given a slightly "nouvelle" twist. One can always have more salad from the copious salad buffet or fill up on cheese at the end of dinner (unless one has a dairy intolerance, that is). Not that I have ever needed to. Although each course looks very delicate and tiny somehow there are so many of them that you do get enough to eat.
As I am allergic to cows' milk products I did find the afternoon cake and ice cream buffet was not suitable for me, but I was able to order hot chocolate made with soya milk and that was delicious.
The ambience of the lounge is great, though it can sometimes be noisy, but if guests are enjoying themselves and chattering and laughing one can't complain! We don't use the bar as it is the only area in the whole hotel where smoking is allowed, but as you can order drinks in the lounge this isn't exactly a restriction.
Wireless internet access is provided free of charge in the lounge area - and the bedrooms are equipped with excellent HD TVs. You can borrow books to read or DVDs to watch.
I love the "wet" facilities - the indoor pool for a swim before breakfast is a must, and the outdoor pool and the indoor sauna world are wonderful after a day out skiing. There is also an excellent gym.
Location wise it is *possible* theoretically to cross the road and catch a T-bar lift to access the slopes (5 minutes walk max) and also to ski back to the hotel in the evening. The access slope back home is not covered by snow making machinery however and not always open. We were able to use this slope for the first half of our holiday this year. The T-bar lift we tried once the first year we went there and have never bothered with again as it is much more convenient to catch the ski bus which stops just outside the hotel and use the Hochalm gondolas or go the other way and take the Schattberg Express maybe. Unless you like walking in ski boots (which I *hate*) I wouldn't recommend trying to go for the Zwolferkogelbahn as your first lift of the day - it is a tough walk from the bus stop unless you are comfortable walking in your boots.
I *love* the warm boot room and ski storage area in the hotel, but access up and down the path by the side of the hotel is sometimes challenging, particularly so if icy.
There are great snowy winter walks available if you don't want to ski - information is provided on these and other options in your room.
There is a large ski area including one slope that is floodlit at night with skiing until 9:30pm and this hotel is in the middle of it, so it's excellently placed as long as you don't want true ski in/ski out - for that go to the French Alps!

My wife, teenage daughter and I stayed for a week in mid-summer in this hotel, and discovered what si possibly the best value all round hotel I have come across in 15 years of overseas travelling. It has everything you would want from the helpful and caring family owners, large and well appointed rooms, quiet situation Our room overlooked the pool), outstanding cuisine with breakfast, buffet lunch, mid-afternoon cake and coffee (as only Austrians know how to do it!) and a 5 course evening meal with a choice from 5 different menus. There was plenty to do with three pools, one indoors heated and two outside (1 unheated, and one at 30 degrees), luxurious sauna complex (Scandinavian), free cycle hire, and free internet access. The hotel is situated just outside the charming town of Hinterglemm away from any noisy nighclubs, and there is a bus stop immediately outside the hotel. There was genuinely not a word I could say against this hotel - they have thought of everything. It deserves every plaudit it can get. If only other hotels could model themselves on this one!

We have had another week at the Theresia and it certainly up to expectations. Everything about the place is so very welcoming that you feel really at home.
Frau Brettermeir works very hard to keep the whole place up to scratch and ensures that you feel welcome with all her special touches.
We had a Zwolferkogel room which is on the front of the hotel and I was afraid that it would be noisy, but it was absolutely fine and very spacious.
The nice touches in the room are the drinks that are available free of charge in the room fridge, orange and apple juice and several bottle of mineral water. What a wonderful extra that was.
The Glemm Valley joker card was a great idea and we went up and down the cable cars several times just for the fun of it. The best bit was on our wedding anniversary of 30th August when we went up to see the snow that had fallen over night. There was about 8cm up there. You can also use the valley bus free of charge. There are many other faciltiies that the joker card offers, but those were the main draws for us.
The food is marvellous, so comforting to know that so much of it is organic and healthy.
Martina the maitre d' is a wonderful person, bubbly and chatty and very helpful. We really knew when she was off duty, she needs to be cloned.
One of the best things about the Theresia is the fact that so much is included that you can relax and just enjoy yourself.
We found that we really resented the charges that we had to pay when we moved over to Seefeld for our second week. As far as we are concerned we will keep away from the Tirol now and stay in Salzburgerland. They are lovely there.
Can't wait for next years stay now. Thank you Theresia

Our stay here was quite possibly one of the best holiday experiences we have had. From the friendly welcome to the outstanding food and the cosy rooms everything was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for the professional staff. Even though my German is poor (non existent really) the kitchen catered for my dairy intolerance without any problem and were happy to alter dishes. Martina, the restaurant manager, was the picture of calm professionalism, and able to converse in at least 4 (5 if you count Scottish) languages.

We can't wait to return.
