My wife and I have just returned from a great week of skiing, loads of sun loads of snow and to cap it all the best skiing hotel we have stayed in.
Friendly and attentive staff and I mean every single person we met.
Room, clean, comfortable,quiet and spacious.
Food, absolutely brilliant, high quality, imaginative and healthy.
Spa and health facilities, perfect after a hard days skiing.
Convenience, ski hire in the hotel, quality kit at competitive price with great advice. Walk out the door turn right go over the bridge turn left short walk put your ski's on grab the T bar back later. Return straight to hotel but don't ski into the pool!
Resort, great varied skiing and they have a floodlit slope, careful though there's a good bar at the bottom of it!!
Great time and the hotel truly capped it all honestly they could not do enough for us and in such style. Terrific we will be back.

The Hotel Theresia has become our ‘second home’. For many years now we have spent four to five weeks each year there - three weeks skiing during January & March, & walking the mountains during the Summer months. The Theresia is a family run hotel & this is reflected in the general ambiance, providing a totally relaxing environment in which to enjoy your holiday. It is so easy to feel relaxed & ‘at home’ as soon as you arrive & the whole of the Theresia team are always very keen to make sure everything is perfect & nothing is too much trouble.
There are a variety of different styles of spacious rooms to choose from - from the more traditional, to the more contemporary - a very successful combination. All are kept spotless.
There is a huge choice at breakfast, including eggs, bacon etc. cooked, on order, to your preference. The amazing selection of afternoon cakes & ice cream are not to be missed after a hard day’s skiing! Then at dinner you may choose any combination from the different menus. So, forget the diet! You can ski or walk it off the next day! You can swim in the lovely indoor & outdoor pools, relax in the sauna world or wintergarden, or just laze around the gardens & pool in the summer.
Being situated away from the main centre is an advantage for us - it is quieter (in the past we have stayed in hotels in the centre & it can be very noisy at night). It is a very pleasant stroll along by the river to the centre. There is a bus stop right outside, so you are able to vary where you begin or end your day’s skiing. Or there is a short t.bar lift nearby to join the lift system. Even when snow conditions generally have not been too good, we have always still been able to ski back to within a couple of minutes walk of the hotel.
In the summer the walking is amazing. With the free Joker Card, provided by the hotel, you can use the four main lifts to take you up high & then walk the well marked, various graded, paths enjoying the spectacular scenery!
We are counting down to the next time!

My husband and I stayed at the Theresia Garten Hotel for a week in February 2012. We couldn't really fault it. The staff were friendly and attentive and bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable. Food was great - a choice of menus for evening meal including bio (organic) and 'regional' options, an amazing buffet breakfast and delicious cakes in the afternoon. Wine is slightly on the expensive side though the house red was more than acceptable.
It's not for those who like being very central and being able to fall out of bars and into bed, but the slight walk from town (15 mins) means it's lovely and quiet. You can ski back to the hotel via a red run behind the hotel or across the blue runs on the other side of the road.

An excellent hotel on the outskirts of Hinterglemm. It's about a 10 minute walk (20 minutes in ski boots) to the centre and that is the only disadvantage of staying at this hotel. The hotel staff are most helpful. The food is of the highest quality, and plentiful.

We had booked into the ski school "Ski and Fun" and that was our one big mistake. The transport arrangements to have us picked up in the morning to take us to the ski-school meeting place were a complete shambles. I have nothing good to say about the "Ski and Fun" ski school ... the advice is simply 'avoid this organisation'. The Theresia has just set up its own ski-school and, although much smaller, it looks to be a much better bet.

It is possible to ski back almost to the front door of the hotel but the short piste is distinctly 'red'.

Hi we have just come back from a weeks ski holiday with our two children. This is our third time at the hotel and each year it just gets better... This year was particularly brilliant as they have introduced thier own kids ski school within the hotel,,, everything is easy to organise. From booking ski school collecting skis and collecting ski pass all within the hotel. The kids ski lessons were fanatastic and all the children had an amazing week. The lessons were 10 till 3 so plenty of time for adult skiing and not such a long day that the kids were exhausted. There is a gorgeous outdoor pool for the kids to play in and a lovely adults spa...
Food is fantastic i cannot fault this hotel

This hotel is excellent way to spend a family ski vacation.
We've stayed with the group of families in Apartotel that belongs to Theresia. All the hotels facilities are absolutely perfect, well designed and made exactly for you are looking for during your holidays.
1) Rooms: as we stayed in apartotel in "family room" that is for 2 adults and 2 children, I'd say that the rooms were not very large as usually that you have as a "family room" in the austrian hotels. The bathroom was very tiny, but with very modern facilities, maybe not exactly enough for the size of family with 2 teenagers. The price difference between "family room" and 2 bedroom appartement was big, so it was our choice to stay in "family room"
2) The restaurant is one of the best I ever had. Organic food, lots of vegetables during breakfast and dinner, wonderful cakes in the afternoon and great choice in the evening. Waiters service was excellent. The only things that I'd like to notice is the temperature in the restaurant, which was around 28-29C, that made a dinner itself quite difficult as we needed to get out , just to have the fresh air and the wine prices. Wine list is very rich, but for my optionion too expensive. Almost all the wines are around 40 EUR per simple wine. Maybe restaurant can add some wines for Eur 20-25 to make it more affordable for the tourists.

3) Spa - is the best that I had till today. Separate areas for kids and adults, Open air pool with Jacuzzi, readdy add a lot ! Spa complex is open from 11:00 which makes it easy for both ski-lovers and spa-lovers.

4)All the stuff of the reception is very professional and helpful. All the problems and questions were solved immediately.

We'll definately come back and will recommend the hotel to all groups of tourists.

We spent a week in January in this wonderful hotel together with a group of 5 families. For more than 10 years we spent ski-holidays together, staying mostly in 4 stars hotels in different Austrian ski resorts. We have been twice in Saalbach (other hotels), Mayrhofen, Schladming, Obertauern, Solden and several times in Bad Gastein. I would say that the hotel facilities and service are pretty much important for us. All of the chosen hotels left very good impressions on us. But… We have never left a hotel with such a strong and definite feeling: we’ll be back. I can just agree with previous reviewers: extraordinary and fabulous. The service can’t be better: remarkable, friendly and not annoying. You get it just when you need it. Luxury facilities, exactly as it is presented on the hotel’s website. The hotel’s highlight is definitely the restaurant: very rich breakfast, delicious cakes in the afternoon (usually I skip all these sweeties, but not in Theresia ) and fantastic gourmet dinner - there was always something to choose. The in-house ski hire and ski-school is a very important add-on in my opinion. I just hope the school will be more flexible and add some ski-instructors for peak –season. Two days we could not book a lesson because of lack of instructors, something that we’ve never met before.
I can highly recommend this hotel. As it was mentioned: we’ll be back.
