“Good value for the money”

We have booked our 2nd holiday here. It's a basic hotel, with no frills. However, the beds are comfy, the rooms are warm, the shower room was small but the water was always hot. yes i agree with some of the comments on the evening meal, but the breakfasts were better. Just ask for scrambled egg! delicious.

the location has to be one of the best as the ski lift in across the road, apx 500 yds away.

we stayed in a room at the back. i was worried about the noise from the bar across the road. However, the Door man kept the door closed as much as possible. We were so tired at the end of a days hard skiing- followed by some of the best apre ski bars in Austria, that we slept through any noise.

yes- there is no lift, but there is a hot ski and boot room, with room for everyones boots!

if you're on a bit of a budget, and you can afford to eat out a couple of nights- then you couldn't ask for more.

Great location in Hinterglemm, close to pretty much everything, very clean and tidy, good food, very pleasant and helpful staff, would recommend to everyone, no frills, simple comfortable accomadation, will be booking at this hotel next year for sure.

Room Tip: Take care when selecting a room as there is no lift in this hotel.

Generally impressed with this hotel. Much better than expected & than some I have stayed in with higher official ratings. Would suggest taking ear plugs as neighbouring dutch bar noisy, as was my snoring room mate! Would recommend.

Central to Hinterglemm, close to 2 gondolas, containing the oldest bar there, this is a small family-run hotel where the watchword is service. It's not smart or modern, but it is clean and warm, the beds and bedding are great, and the people who work there are hard-working, well organised and make you feel very much at home. They catered very sensitively to our vegetarianism- no choice at mealtimes (except breakfast) but good filling meals well presented. Heated boot-room too. I'd go again.

Room Tip: No tea-making facilities so you might want to take a little kettle. There are 3 floors and no lift...

I booked this hotel for January 2012. The location is excellent, the rooms though looking dated and a bit tired were clean and warm. It has resturant where you can get a drink and a bar below which opens at 17:30. The ski/boot romm is hot! Excellent for drying boots etc. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The down side of this hotel is the food. I knew is was not 4* but i cant even say it was 1*. The food was bland and un exciting. As an example, a chicken leg and rice was one main meal. I reckon the tin opener was busy for desert as we had tin peaches, tin fruit cocktail etc. If only the food was average it would be a great hotel.

We didn't pay very much for this hotel so we expected very little, but in fact it was more then I hoped for.
This hotel is the typical Austrian hotel, a sort of 70's style interior with a lot of dark wood.
There is no 24/7 reception, sauna, pool or any other fancy stuff that I do not use when I go for a skiing and drinking holiday.
But there is a nice bed, a (very) hot shower, a decent meal (don't expect foie gras) and clean rooms.
But the best part is that all of these are within crawling distance of the best apres-ski bars and just a 3 minute walk to the ski lift.
The hotel lady seemed a bit grumpy in the beginning but we were given a warm welcome when we came back from skiing later that day. She even washed my clothes when they got dirty and got it back the same evening. The hotel staff is friendly and always ready to help you.
So this is just an average hotel, but for a budget price on a luxury location so that makes it a bargain.
I can only recommend this hotel to people who don't really care about fancy stuff, and just want a nice place to sleep, eat and clean up for a decent price.

The hotel is 2 minutes walk from the best ski lift in the resort. We had a room at the back of the hotel which had a lovely balcony. Dinner is basic (hope you like pork and chips!) - don't expect anything fancy, especially from desert! If you just want sustainance at a cheap price then this is ideal. No drinks are included so watch out that you don't get coerced into spending a fortune.

Plenty of hot water for baths and the other guests were friendly. It was a shame the hotel didn't have a swimming pool or sauna but there are public baths two minutes down the road which are very good (10 euros).
