popped in for cocktails. Nicely sophisticated without being stuffy. great service, mellow music, relaxed vibe. When something more subtle is needed to counter balance the umpah music and rowdy apres

The fondue was very nice, but we did run out of cheese!! The restaurant wasn't busy, but I think it might be a bit slow at peak times. We were promised a free drink which didn't appear, but despite this, we enjoyed our visit.

I ate here with the whole family on a Friday evening. We took both the cheese fondue and the meat fondue. Both were very very good! The meat was very well seasoned and the cheese was delicious. I definitely ate too much!

The staff was extremely nice and very helpful. The food came really fast which was perfect as we were all hungry after a day of skiing.

If you feel like having a delicious fondue, I definitely recommend this restaurant. Very good food and a cozy ambience!

Came here with a fairly large group and this was the most farcical mealtime experience I have ever sat through.

After a day of skiing I arrived hungry. However, between sitting down and main course arriving was close to 3 hours. The starter, which arrived over an hour after ordering, was tasty but did not go far to help stave off the hunger.

As this is a fondue restaurant I decided to go for the fondue. Unfortunately the cheese fondue was off for the night (a bit like McDonalds with no burgers?) so I ordered the meat fondue.

Bizarrely the fondue, which has the least preparation required, was the last thing to arrive at the table, with some of the table already half way through their mains by the time it arrived.

We were given one burner and oil pot between 3 and strict instructions to cook no more than 4 pieces of meat at once and that each piece of meat takes 4 minutes to cook in the oil (which we were later told was only at 80 degrees Celsius to prevent the smoke alarms going off). Using these times, to cook all the meat we were given would have taken in excess of 3 hours resulting in a total meal time of around 6 hours.

We asked for, and eventually got, a third burner and oil pot to help cook the food faster, which was lucky as one of the original two burners continually went out as there was no fuel left in it. When we asked for a replacement the waitress and manager first of all didn't believe us and then grudgingly replaced it.

By this time of the oil was cooling and our food not cooking. The manager took one of our pots and heated the oil to 180 degrees telling us that he has never had any complaints before and that he didn't realise we were in a hurry (had he ever handed out empty burners before? Is wanting to spend less than 6 hours in a restaurant “a hurry”?)

The rest of the group that weren't trying to eat the fondue had been finished for a while by now and with the manager getting aggressive we decided to call it a day and get chips (warm chips!) from the takeaway instead.

I also have a concern with the oil being given to us at 80 degrees and then cooling as meat is added / burners go out as 80 degrees is only just above the minimum recommended temperature at which to chicken should be cooked.

In summary the wait was ridiculous and the manager’s attitude appalling. If you can't accommodate a group don't take the booking.
