“Worth a visit”
Reviewed March 23, 2014

The Goasstall is always worth a visit although one of our party did not like the fact that the Goats are tethered by chains in their pen. This year the restaurant was very quiet which may be due to the fact that the piste leading to the hut was verging on non existent when we visited. The menu offered all the usual staples
the Schnitzel was voted the best of the Week.

“Great place, good apres ski”
Reviewed March 20, 2014

Crowded, which is good. A lot of party, but also a lot of people only talking. Not the best place in town, but 2nd after Schwarzacher

“Proper Austria après ski”
Reviewed March 19, 2014

There aren't many places like this in Saalbach or Hinterglemm. The place is massive and you can hear it before you see it. Just off the piste as you drop down into Hinterglemm. It has the advantage of being able to walk up the hill to meet none skiers and walking down if you have had too much après ski. Although it does food it's more of and end of day drinking stop. Very loud and very busy. The release of dry ice can be a bit surprising if you are stood in the wrong place, so can seeing goats behind glass when going to the toilets. Needs to be experienced at least once. Good fun.

“best apres ski place and more”
Reviewed March 11, 2014

The atmosphere is the best. It's a very very cool place. You have to try it. The best drink ever is the "flying hirsch". Nice restaurant, friendly and helpful staff, good music. Party Party Party.

“This will put a smile on anyone's face!”
Reviewed February 23, 2014

Where else would you slip and slide across a snowy slope, while skiers whipped past you to get to sample some apres ski? And boy was it worth it! A warm smiling welcome in a log lined cabin with decking outside. Traditional Austrian decor with a little twist. Inside, we enjoyed a glass or beer or hot wine, looked down upon by half a dozen goats in various poses and costumes (all family friendly). On a trip to the WC we passed a glass wall with real Nanny Goats and kids in a stall behind glass. Cute. My kids loved their kids! We finished off our visit with a boogie to some cheesy feel good music below a glitter ball.

Oh - and it turns out you don't have to slip and slide your way there. There is a tunnel under the slope!

Great fun!x
