I would definitely come back to this hotel. We spent one week and it was very relaxing. Hotel staff is friendly, always willing to help and explain what you ask. We got quite small room for 3 people, it was pretty old fashion but clean, so it is not a problem, you get used to it. Food in the evenings was excellent, a bit boring in the morning (no hot food, except eggs). The best part was a big swimming pool with comfortable sunbeds and amazing view to mountains, nice sauna.
Hotel is not in the center but it takes just 5 min by foot to get to the main street. Its about 1 km (8-10 min.) to ski lifts but if you are willing you can use skibuses.

Overall I recommend this hotel and I would like to come back there for next skiing holiday.

Room Tip: Main building.

Returned after 6 years and it was like coming back home . Great food great resort . Went to tienes in france last year and for the same price the accomerdation was cramped and dirty. Great hotel , nice staff. Massive ski area . Will go back .

The best thing about the Strolz are the leisure facilities which include a well equipped sauna and steam-room etc. There is also a very nice swimming pool which along with the sauna we used every night.
As others have mentioned the hotel is a bit dated in parts and the front lounge colours are a bit garish! Overall the place is clean and the staff are friendly.
Our room was adequately equipped and had a nice balcony with a mountain view.
I really enjoyed the evening meals but the breakfast was a bit boring and the bacon was so anaemic looked like it had been cooked using a ladies hairdryer!
There is a very good ski/boot room with heated boot racks.
No free WIFI but a short walk you could get WIFI in the "Funky" bar and even closer at the Information building.
The ski bus stop is only a couple minutes walk the buses seemed to be quite regular but a bit confusing as which went where. My advise is take particular note as to what the rep. says.
The best bar we found was "Scotland Yard" (about 8mins walk) not opened for apres ski I think it opens about 6:30 pm its gets very busy, the staff are brill. and there is good range of drinks and they even sell Walkers crisps!
(Winter travellers) If you get chance check out the White Lounge igloo bar up the mountain. Take a look inside and don't forget to take your camera.

Grand hotel nothing special but did the job for our weeks ski holiday. It was clean with a good hot shower with no shortage of water. Breakfast was very good the usual continental style with bread, ham, cheese etc. We stay in a separate building to the hotel a short walk in the morning to catch the breakfast. It is located just out of the town so the is a short ten minute walk to get the busy parts of the town at night and the ski bus stops just a short walk outside the hotel if your carrying skis. No free WiFi which was disappointing but you can buy it at reception. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was ideal for a few weeks of snowboarding. We never had any real problems. Its situated away from the main town so this means its very quiet. Dinner was a little bit hit and miss but did enjoy every breakfast there. Would recommend to anyone
