Nowhere better for a relaxing lakeside break - and if you don't mind cold, clear water - nowhere better for a refreshing swim! Lovely people, lovely service.

Room Tip: If you are happy to spend a little more the Tower Rooms are "beyond". Any lake-side, or ev...

The Hotel is situated at the head of the lake, the sunsets have to be seen to be believed, a perfect setting. Walking in the area, like all Austria is easy and well signposted, with superb views everywhere. If you like observing birdlife you won't be disappointed, and the lake almost looks like the Med with crystal clear water and what you at first think are sandy beaches (its actually the local pale stone).
Rooms are clean and spacious, get a lake view - its well worth it as the partial lake views at the side are obscured by trees sometimes, and you will get road noise in the morning at the side also.
We have already booked to go back next year - something I have never done before.

Room Tip: As already said, book a lake view, the extra is well worth it.

After spending a week in the Austrian Tyrol, we stayed at this hotel for five nights in July to complete our lakes & mountains holiday.

We had booked a room with a lake view and were delighted to find our room, (207) had an excellent view of the lake from both the balcony and side window. Watching the sunset over the lake from the balcony was amazing. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable.

The dining room also has spectacular views of Lake Fuschl and the food was delicious; a buffet Breakfast and 5 course Dinner with choice of main course. We particularly enjoyed the trout from the lake.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a computer in reception with internet access for hotel guests to use free of charge, which we found very useful.

Fuschl is a very quiet, peaceful village and a good base to explore the beautiful Salzkammergut Lake District. We would definitely recommend a visit to Hallstatt and a trip on the Dachstein cable car.

Hotel Seerose has a unique position right on the edge of Lake Fuschl and we highly recommend it for a lovely relaxing holiday.

Room Tip: Room 207 has excellent views of the lake.

A lovely hotel with a great view of the lake. The hotel rooms were well appointed and very clean. We payed a little extra for a room with a lake view which is so worthwhile -the sunsets were amazing and the views, even in the wet, were breathtaking. The food was wonderful and plenty of it. The staff were so friendly and helpful and wanted to make your stay as happy as possible. The hotel facilities were also excellent with a lake side sunlounge area which was private and a sauna, small indoor pool and a fitness centre. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed a two week holiday. The view from lake view room was lovely, and all the facilities are in a pristine condition. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the food is marvellous. The position is excellent, right on the lake with a private area for sunbathing/swimming. Good availability of buses right on the doorstep (Salzberg/Bad Ischl). Nice to have a car for other travel but not essential. Walking Boots an advantage for walks in area - but for many they are not necessary. Take the Gnome path - even if you are an adult. Enjoy the town band concerts - excellent. Many guests seem to return year after year and I can understand why.

Room Tip: It is worth paying extra for a lake view.

This hotel is app. 4 years old only. It is a very beautiful hotel in a stunning area. Even the little village Fuschl is so pretty and clean. Everything is clean, even the lake. You can go swimming in the lake however it is quite cold.
We had half board so we had breakfast and dinner, and the food was very tasty and nice. Even one night we had an Austrian "pork night" with really tasty different dishes.
The whole set up in Tyrol is like paradise and so peaceful.

I think we had the best rooms in the hotel! Right over the water.

Getting there through Munich Airport was a hassle though. It took us almost 5 hours, the first train from the airport to Munich took 45 min. Finding the next train in Munich was not easy, the next train took more than 2 hours (it broke down underway). Then we got a taxi from Salizburg to the hotel (50 Euro). We ran into bad traffic. Next time we will rent a car instead.
I will come back for sure :-)
Extra thanks to Sarah the friendly waitress from Hamburg - we miss you!

My mother and I have just returned from a week's stay at the Hotel Seerose in Fuschl, having booked through Inghams. We cannot praise this hotel, and its staff, highly enough. We paid extra for a room with Full Lake View, and it was worth every penny. The view was absolutely stunning - from the balcony it was like being on the deck of a ship, but without the movement! The bedroom itself was very clean and comfortable. The dining room also had wonderful views (especially at sunset), and the food was excellent - and very substantial. The breakfast buffet was superb. Breakfast and dinner times were relaxed (it wasn't a case of 'dinner is at 7'). We had half board, and each night there was a choice of three main courses (including a vegetarian option), and there were 4 courses plus salad buffet. The staff were unfailingly friendly, helpful and efficient, and the standard of cleaning was impeccable. We did not experience the slow service that some have mentioned, but - to be quite honest - we wouldn't have been bothered, as the whole holilday was so relaxing! This would not be the hotel, or village, for you if you are looking for nightlife. It is the place to go to for peace and quiet, and for a very relaxing holiday, with good walks abounding, for those so inclined. The village is quiet and peaceful, with 2 small supermarkets, 1 or 2 cafés, and several small shops. The hotel's setting is idyllic; literally right on the lake, with a private bathing area and beautiful small indoor pool, with lake views. There is plenty of walking in the area, including around the lake, and the bus stop is directly outside the hotel. The buses provide easy access to Salzburg, in one direction, and Bad Ischl and St Gilgen in the other. However, we found it difficult to tear ourselves away from the hotel! We will definitely be staying at the Seerose again. It provided us with an absolutely perfect holiday.
