This place is in a word, Amazing. A "must do" in Panama, even if just can for a few days. Just a few minutes from Pedasi but feels like you are miles away from everything which is quite nice. The 180 degree ocean views are captivating. The decor and the ambience make Villa Romana that much more special. Owners Hans and Andrea complete the picture. Their love for the hotel shows in how they run it and how they treat their guests. Awe inspiring in every way. Great rooms and common areas, great views, great people - what more can ask for? If you think of something, just ask hans and andrea - they are sooooo nice.

I discovered Villa Romana thru a friend that invited my for a week-end... I went and absolutely fell in love with the architecture that reminds me of the Tuscan Valley and the energy of this mesmerizing place! The food was fabulous and I even found a surf spot not even 5 minutes away in a car... where turtles roam. The owner Hans was very hospitable and very friendly, he even cooked for us some very delicious pasta...
Well I loved soooo much that I planned a work-shop there with my PR company, where I took my three daughters, a 15 year old, and 8 year old and a ten year old... including all my clients had a blast...
The room we stayed in was so incredible decorated and had a spectacular view, at night we saw shooting stars and a bright moon lit up our porch...
I had a beautiful party for them and Villa Romana helped make it perfect!!!! I absolutely recommend this beautiful Villa to every traveler...

We 've had an amazing stay in Villa Romano!
It's a magical place with the sweetest staff ever and very comfortable rooms. Having breakfast with a dramatic oceanview and green rolling hills is everything you wish for.
Relaxing by the pool with a blue sunny sky and after having a late night dinner with our best friends under a full moon with millions of falling stars... i would suggest everybody to spend some time there! For me it will be a sparkling memory for a long long time.

We were a group of 15 people and stayed for one night. The two suites and the other bedrooms were very comfortable, clean and charming. The view is awesome.
Hans, the owner, and his assistant Campos were very friendly and pleasing. I would surely recommend this hotel .

We are totally in love with this hotel and will be going back soon. The turn to reach Villa Romana is just a few miles past the charming town of Pedasi. The road is very scenic with beautiful forests, green fields, rivers and huge colonies of nesting white egrets. You will pass a community of palatial homes facing the ocean. When you arrive at Villa Romana you will be struck by the beautiful Tuscan colors of gold and rose, contrasted against the blue of the sea and the sky.The buildings are covered with bouganvillea and flowering vines and the hotel sits on a cliff overlooking the Pacific coastline in both directions.

Each of the rooms is an individual private house. Ours had a huge ocean view and a lovely terrace to relax on, 2 beds, a fridge and a large bathroom. Comfy terry bathrobes were also provided. At night we could see a million stars in the sky and fireflies sparkled around the casita. In the morning and evening we viewed incredible sunrises and sunsets. Larger casitas that are even more luxurious are available.

In the morning we had a great breakfast with really good coffee, fresh fruit and juice and a perfectly cooked vegie and ham omelet. The hotel manager, Algis, charmed us daily with his courtesy and helpfulness. He also cooked a fantastic dinner of Pescado al Cartucho, a fresh red snapper covered with herbs, lemon, onion and tomato and baked in tin foil. His Chicken alla Brava was also delicious. This guy can cook! We enjoyed the food at the hotel so much that we rarely ate in town.

We were able to view the humpback whales almost evey day we were there. Sometimes we would see 3 or 4 at a time, slapping the water with their tales and blowing water in the air. You could see the smaller babies swimming next to their mothers.

We also went to Puerto Escondido, the nearby beach and it was totally deserted. The beach was covered in 1,000's of sand dollars and little bright red crabs moved across the sand. It was very wild and untouched. We heard you can rent horses to ride on this beach.

This hotel is a great base from which to explore the south coast of the Azuero Peninsula. We did day trips to Isla Iguana (world class diving), Playa Venado (surfing), Isla Canas (turtles) and Cambutal. There is so much to do that 8 days went really fast. Best of all was just relaxing on our terrace and listening to the waves crash on the rocks below.

This place is a great value for what you pay. The owner, Hans Brezzi is a gracious host who has created a little piece of paradise on earth.

Nestled on a rock outcropping, looking out at the Pacific Ocean with panoramic view, and serviced with rare attention to friendly accommodation, Villa Romana delivers the all-smiles, adventure, remote destination I was looking for. Hans and Max and friendly staff made this stay more like visiting A list relatives. They cooked for us, they drank beers and cocktails with us, and told us stories that ranged from Italian World War II to life in Colombia.

Bring the girlfriend, the kids, the couples. For the astute, rent the whole place out for the party of ten. Great boogie boarding, beach walking, spear and deep sea fishing, boat trips to nearby islands. This is also a great place to stay if you are looking to get caught up on local real estate developments. Villa Romana sits right in the middle of some of the best resort developments in the area.
