“Awesome!”

This place is so haunted and original! Can imagine what it would be like back in the day. The stockade is so haunted it drops your phone battery! Recommended!

“A spooky historical experience”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

I recently went to Four Mile with my family. Upon arrival I was skeptical about the quality of the town. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and the workers all being dressed in period clothing was a nice touch. The admission was 5$ a person and was completely fair. We were given a cassette player before entering and although the voice was monotone and boring you could pause the player and being able to go on your own without a guide was nice. The buildings and artifacts were very authentic and the owner helpfully placed typed notes throughout the town to provide further information. Many of the floorboards were rotting and some rooves caved in but all the dangerous areas were roped off. Many of the buildings would not be accesible to wheelchairs. The buildings had a haunted, spooky feel and when asked the owners will tell you of their personal paranormal happenings. The place with the most activity is the Stockade. Many stories are about the stockade and be careful with your camera, camera phones notoriously die in the stockade even with full battery for no reason. Including mine at 20%. All and all I would highly recommend this tour to any person at all with time to spare.

“Waste of time and money”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

We thought it looked like a good place to visit. We talked with the lady at counter about the stagecoach that used to travel thru there. It was a great story, then we paid $5 each for the tour and was handed a cassette player with a audio of the tour that talked faster than we could walk through it, and was boring. My kids were very disinterested in the tour because of that and the fact that it was not well kept. Some of the buildings had stuff thrown in them and a lot of stuff was broken. We felt like we were in the "Hotel California" and we were never going to get out of there!

“Good Collection of Vintage Buildings”
Reviewed July 26, 2013

While other similar exhibits to this are called "Heritage Villages" this doesn't lend itself to fancy titles but contains similar displays and shows buildings of the Old West.
There are some interesting structures which show what life must have been like in the pioneering days and I thought well worth the admission price.
