This hotel was pretty good. They had breakfast in the morning, indoor pool, and a friendly staff. Be sure to make reservations a head of time. We went right before Bike week and it got full pretty quick.

First thing, know that thecheck out time for this hotel is 10am. This is much too early, in my opinion. But, that isn't that huge an issue. This hotel is located in a wonderful location. The city of Custer is very charming. Behind the hotel there were deer eating grass by the RV lot every night, a nice treat for an L. A. Metro dweller. The rooms are old. The hotel is old. No other way to put it. It isn't bad, just old. I had a whirlpool room, and it was a nice big whirlpool, so that is nice. The window opened, which is a plus, but the town is a little noisy until late. Overall, I am sure that there is better choices in this town, but Custer is ideally located to see all of the wonderful things that are West SD. If you can't afford the other overpriced hotels, then this overpriced hotel will do just fine.

this is not a five star by any stretch, but we were really impressed with the cleanliness and attitiude o fevery employee we met. It is conveniently located to the downtown which is why we chose it in the first place. It is an older less expensive motel, so suggest the top floor if you are a light sleeper. The internet service was the best we have had in weeks.

We stayed here 2 nights to tour the area. Even though it didn't have an elevator, we loved the little hotel. They had fresh baked cookies available all the time. It was a great little treat to come back after a day out touring. The rooms we spacious and clean. It is nothing fancy but worked great for us. We had a fabulous welcome even though we checked in fairly late at night. I would highly recommend it. It was also a great location to tour the Badlands, Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park etc.

I chose this place because it is close to Mount Rushmore. (It is a 20 minute drive.) It is situated on Custer's main street, so it's very easy to find and is in the middle of the local restaurants and shops. The room was very basic - there wasn't even an iron/ironing board. The bathroom was tiny and smelled faintly of mold. Although I personally don't find $100/night to be pricey, I didn't think it was worth that much. But considering it is a high-volume tourist area in the summer, I suppose it was a bargain.

We arrived late to this hotel and were very tired after traveling 5 hours. I had called earlier to make sure the extra cot was in the room and when we arrived it was not only there but made up! The room was very clean, with 2 queen beds, and nicely updated. The room wasn't super big but it met our needs nicely. The lady at the front desk was nice and helpful. The next morning the front desk lady's were friendly in pointing out different sights in the area and how to get there. The breakfast was fabulous with muffins, frozen waffles, cinnamon french bread, bagels, cereals, oatmeal, hardboiled eggs, juices and coffee. The area for the breakfast was clean! The pool is small but still would be fun. I was expecting this chain of hotel to not be as good, but I was pleasantly surprised by this particular one!!

When I booked this hotel it was a Travelodge, sometime they changed their name and the company I was to get my points with, not resolved yet.

The room was not very large, it was about the smallest, poorest designed bathroom I've ever been in. The pool was ok and proudly heated to 81 degrees, no hot tub. There was breakfast, but nothing hot unless you heated it in a toaster or microwave.
