The owners are very pleasant and welcoming. We had site 79 for one night. The site was quiet and just a short walk to impeccably clean showers and restrooms. Honestly, the restrooms were the cleanest we have ever encountered while camping and we camp a lot. Custer is just a 2 mile drive into town where there are lots of markets and tourist traps.

Room Tip: Even though the day time temps are in the hundreds, it will cool down quite a bit at night. Don't be tempted to bring your coolest sleeping bags. We got a bit chilly with our light weight bags.

We spent five days over July 4th week. Everything was great, quick check in, very helpful, bath rooms were clean, secluded, no highway noise and the rv sites we had, great level space for our RV and shade. Ron (the owner) was very personable, along with his co-workers, they even picked up my trash from my drive way, it not what they normally do, but offered to do it. I am in Customer Service, job well done. Keep up the good work and you have my business if we are in the area again. Only one problem, we couldnt extend the awning because of the tree, I will take tree shade over the awning any day. Thanks for a great week.

My husband and I stayed for five nights here in July, it was lovely. We stayed at two different tent sites 79 and 81. There is quiet a bit of shade throughout which is very nice. The staff were truly happy to be running a campground, and very helpful. The location is also prime for being close to many attractions in the black hills. There didnt seem to be much of a wait for the showers unless you wait till 9:00am then you might have had to wait 10 minutes. They also provide a location to wash dishes which is a really nice feature. There is also wifi so you can look up places to eat, see etc.

Bathrooms and showers are exceptionally clean. Angie, the owner, was great. Gave us advice on where to eat dinner and what tent site would work best for us. I highly recommend this campground. Our site was secluded and had lots of shade from the hot sun.
