Description: Hand Crafted Pizza: Crust dough made in house, as is the sauce. We grind real Wisconsin Cheese, so you don't have to eat any Cellulose coated factory cheese, or man made cheese substitute. We chop fresh vegetables and mushrooms.

We went to Pizza Works for a change from the burgers and fries that we had eaten along the way to SD. We thought the pizza was very tasty and loved being able to eat outside on the deck. As a Chicago girl I cannot say that it was the best pizza I've had but was certainly good. We are already considering eating there again before we leave to try the calzones which looked amazing!

The place is located in an old opera house. We ate on the top floor and had a great view of the folks making the pizza. They hand toss and it was fun for my son to see. Pizza was tasty and a good price. They also had a nice outdoor seating area.

I mean, you're in Custer SD. Stick with the pizza, its better than you would expect. Maybe skip the other options. Clean. Friendly staff. Quick pizza in about 15-20 min. $40 for large cheese, one cookie, one water bottle, one sandwich, four side salads.

I know it is tough, you hire young people who just don't pay attention. But a medium two topping pizza with bbq chicken and garlic is just that. It isn't a bbq chicken smothered with red and green peppers and onions. Tough way to start our visit to Custer and Mount Rushmore. They finally got the pizza right but took awhile to realize that they overcharged us and to refund the difference. No they didn't offer the pizza for free and I didn't ask. Pizza is ok, nothing to die for.

We chose Pizza Works because of the good things we had heard from others. They had many interesting and unique types of toppings, and with the "mini" size we could each get something we wanted.
