We stopped at this place and was happy with the food, service and atmosphere. It was a good time just relaxing and the kids sat at their own table and they felt like they were big. They had the popcorn maker going which is nice in a bar and we ordered burgers for lunch. Everything was good and I would come back.

We arrived in Custer at dark on our motorcycles and were tired and hungry. The only restaurant open was the Frontier Bar and Grill. The bartender/waitress/cook was about to close, but she welcomed us in with a wonderful smile. We asked her for a recommendation from the menu and agreed to try the Tatanka burger basket. It was wonderful! Plenty of food at a reasonable price. She was very friendly and informative about the area and helped us tweak our riding plans to make the most of our vacation. We never felt rushed and only wish we had more time so we could have visited again.

We stopped and the ribs. They are amazing! The service was great and we really enjoyed ourselves! We also got the gizzards, which were delicious! We got some take out, and the waitress included all the necessities! We will be back when we are in the area!

We chose this restaurant based on its good reviews on tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. We tried three different burger baskets and chicken fingers from the children's menu. Everyone loved it. Waitress was very nice!

We stopped in for a meal and was VERY disappointing. The server ask us if we needed forks for or cole slaw served in all 3 of our baskets. Do they do slaw shots here??? We are very use to eating finger/bar food but draw the line with cole slaw and fingers... The cod was dry and palatable only with BBQ sauce. My children's chicken strips were tasteless. The rib special was bone dry and gave my wife an upset stomach minutes later. My son's mini corn dogs smelled like old fryer grease. We did not enjoy any bar drinks. Many 5-6 beers would have helped the meal...
