This park is good for driving or hiking. Wonderful stone formations in all the trees and deer everywhere. Pictures are recommended. We will go back. Senior pass worked great in this National Park!

“So peaceful”
Reviewed August 22, 2012

On our trip last summer my wife enjoyed a day hiking in the forest and is was so peaceful (we are from New Jersey). To be able to walk a mile or so from the road in be in the forest with nothing but the trees, birds and little critters was great. We enjoyed a nice picnic on a small hill and just marveled at the sights. Take a break, get away from the attractions and get back to your roots in the forest, you will not regret it!

“Tape your jaw shut, and keep your eyes on the road!”
Reviewed August 20, 2012

Sincerely one of the most beautiful experiences of my lifetime! Needles Hwy on a motorcycle is Awe-inspiring! Your mind simply cannot process the wonders of the scenic views as you drive through caves and caverns, winding roads, and mountainous terrain.

There are several spots to pull-over for that perfect picture! Picnic areas available for family pleasure. Gift shop for food, drinks, and trinkets. LOVED IT!!! Enjoy :)

“The beautiful Black Hills wouldn't be the same without the National Forest”
Reviewed August 19, 2012

The hillsides full of trees and rock are beautiful to drive through. The beautiful expanse of the wilderness is nice to see. It was nice to enjoy the forest as we were driving through on the highway to other stops.
