Hotel is set back from the main road. The rooms are clean and quiet - nothing special but comfortable and the price is OK. We did not have reservations (not a good idea), but the front desk staff were very helpful with both our room and restaurant recommendations. The breakfast gets you started but not too much more and the food area is a bit congested.
This is a nice clean hotel. The employees are friendly and the rooms are clean. It's still very new looking and feeling. The breakfast was good. They had 2 employees refilling items everyday we stayed. Price was a little high, but what isn't in the Black hills of South Dakota.
Even though this hotel is 12 years old, it looks like it is new. It is very well maintained and clean, and has been kept updated. Large room, comfortable beds. We were traveling with a family group of 5 adults. Lots of space in the room even with the rollaway bed, and the rollaway was very nice - more like a twin bed with box springs. The breakfast room is large, too. The location is good for visiting Custer State Park. It is about 25 miles from Mount Rushmore. Staff is friendly and helpful. This hotel has a pool and fitness room. It also has an elevator. Would definitely recommend.
My husband and I stayed in Custer for four nights at the Comfort Inn. It was a great base for our travels in the area to Jewel Cave, Wind Cave, Hot Springs, and seeing the various parts of Custer State Park. The staff were very pleasant and friendly, and they provided breakfast and had clean, modern, updated rooms -
The town of Custer is less hectic than those of Keystone and Hill City, which met our needs for a relaxing stay.
Stayed two days in July. Very nice, clean and well maintained. Front desk staff do a great job and entire staff did everything possible to make us welcome... Always with a big smile. Motel is central to Custer with a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
Comfortable, well-maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was routine, but at least there were plenty of tables even at the peak of the morning rush. Centrally base for seeing the various attractions of the Black Hills: Mt. Rushmore, Wind Cave, Jewel Cave, Mammoth Site.
