We just had tonight the worst service ever in Volcan area at the Restaurant of this hotel, the lady waiter not well ready for customer service in any kind of complain instead of been nice as it should be was SHOUTING to my wife for their mistake in the invoice. It was a total disappointment for me and for my wife which have been seen not a well customer service in Panamá compared to her country which is one of the best in taking care of a tourist. Sadly I’m Panamanian and need to see this from my own people which are not offering at all at least nice and educated service in restaurants,

Room tip: Don’t have big expectation in the customer service or food quality. As we went and did not have the right cheese

Nothing surprising about the room or the breakfast.
A little pricey, no price for single occupancy.
But the garden is wonderful. Rivers and the sound of runnng water. Loved every bit of walking around it.

Our group stayed 3 nights at this establishment, eating dinner there every evening. Regular rooms have two full size beds, a desk, cupboard and chair and dark wood paneling. No luggage rack, frig or coffeemaker. Walls are NOT soundproof: If your neighbor sneezes, you will know. Our room had no window screen in the bathroom nor a hairdryer although others did. All rooms had only two electrical outlets.Hot water in bathroom inconsistent during showers. Mattresses are firm and pillows soft. Gardens and creeks on site make a picturesque location.
The Italian restaurant has a large menu with a few vegetarian and local dishes. Large servings and cloth napkins! Of all our meals, I recommend the fish dishes, calzones and Greek salad. Local bottled beers are $1.50 each. Wine by the glass or bottle. Servers knew a little English. Staff pleasant and helpful.

Room tip: Get an end room or ask to be placed away from others if possible.

Very comfortable and quiet room. Lovely, Italian food and beautiful ( very birdy) gardens with streams, bridges and a wide variety of exotic flowers.
Collected by Ito every morning for birding in the amazing Western Chiriqui mountains.

My family and I stayed here when we were visiting family in Vulcan. We booked the junior suite which had a lovely balcony. The room came with a refrigerator, which was great for keeping our baby's milk cold. The bed was super comfortable and was enough room for the three of us. The shower was sooo big it was amazing. The grounds are absolutely lovely and has a river running through. Our stay included free breakfast which was really delicious. We got the ojaldras with scrambled eggs and it came with tea or coffee. The staff was very nice and attentive. We did have to spray bug spray on before we went to bed because there were mosquitoes and we would wake up to a lot of beetles (which are harmless) on the floor. I would recommend getting a room on the top floor because the floors are wood and you can hear every move they make upstairs.
