Finca Paraiso is not easiest place to get to which means it is not overflowing with tourists which makes this place an untouched gem. It was so amazing to swim in cold water, with hot patches, and then stand under the hot waterfall. What an amazing treat for sore shoulders! Wish we'd had more time! We were there for 2 hours but could easily have stayed 4hrs. Enjoy nature at its best!

As I'm reading the review, it seems some people are reviewing the one by the river which some "lanchas" stop over on their way to or back from Livingston. The one my friend and I went to was in Finca Paraiso, about a half-hour bus ride towards the "El Estor" direction. Just hop on any of the microbuses with the conductors shouting "El Estor" from outside. Tell them you want to get dropped off at Finca Paraiso. From there, walk a few hundred meters (trail is clearly marked) and you'll find the hot springs. No vendors, not too many people. When we went there, there were six of us travelers in total, and one local and his two children who were looking after us - where we should jump off from, where it's deep or shallow. Bring your own food/snacks if you're heading this particular hot springs. On your way back, just stand on the side of the road and flag down the next microbus you see heading towards Rio Dulce.

Large hot springs - waterfall of hot water, very nice place for good looking pictures. no food or drinks stands around, so you basically have to bring your stuff with you.

Stopped here for a visit on our way up the Rio Dulce. Very interesting little spot on the river. There was a natural hot spring, which produced some really hot water. The smell of sulphur was also quite strong, but not over powering . A good place to come for a relaxing dip. There was also a couple of bat caves to explore on this stop. It was a good hike up a steep trail to reach them, but a worthwhile experience.
